“Hmph, so that Krengel blundered. The little girl praised as Holy Sword made mincemeat out of him.”
Rocky, the captain of Zero Division, felt a certain emotion over his subordinates being wiped out.
“Pathetic.”
Zero Division always ruled the Kingdom of Acacia from the shadows.
So, when did it happen? They held the kingdom in the palm of their hand for generations, by assassinating important people.
So when did they lose their luster, even behind the scenes?
When Troy was the number one chivalric order in the kingdom, Zero Division had the final say in its decisions.
And yet, when did the strings that allowed them to control them from the shadows unravel?
(Kernel… And especially, that Wirgin’s fault.)
Making the Kingdom of Acacia stronger than any other.
That alone, was King Wirgin’s manifesto.
Even if sacrifices were made, including ethics, the kingdom would be stronger. And King Wirgin’s path to making that a reality was taking the kingdom in a direction unfavorable to Zero Division.
Troy’s power was suppressed, which also took power away from Zero Division.
As a result, they became just a band of assassins. An organization with history behind it was reduced to doing odd jobs.
“Treating Zero Division so lightly… I won’t allow them to treat me so lightly.”
Times were changing. And the first step towards it, was to wipe out Zero Division.
And their captain, Rocky, was left, not accepting this decline.
“Then… I’ll use the Diamond magic stone to rule everything from the shadows. That brilliant Zero Division will once again… Swallow Troy, and we will rule at the top like a gem.”
The power of the magic stone Diamond permeated in his black clothing.
Even a photon weapon in magnum mode could not break this incredibly tough armor. It would not nullify all damage, but it was enough to bear, and crush Qualia.
Rocky trusted the power of this magic device.
“You can be the foundation stone… Of the rebirth of Zero Division.”
He looked at Qualia, and immediately charged with Shukuchi again.
The strongest, toughest Diamond, and the pure sonic speed of his charge. Being hit meant certain death. He would be turned into finer pieces than Krengel.
But he could not zero in on Qualia.
“Execute Teleportation.”
“…Stay still.”
Qualia moved from one spot to the other, removing himself from Rocky’s path.
He carved the ground as he put on the breaks, and once again took aim.
Meanwhile, Qualia vocalized his optimal solution.
“Analyzing situation. Calculating the durability of your magic device from the condition of the substance you refer to as magic device after it was hit directly with a beam. Result, it is determined that type MAGNUM MODE would spread the liquefaction, and would not be an effective way to destroy it.
Type GUN NORMAL MODE.”
The long barrel of the photon weapon in Qualia’s right hand became short.
Magnum mode, which excelled in terms of destructive power, returned to the normal mode that only excelled in rate of fire.
“Therefore, the option to hit your magic device continuously in the same place has been chosen.”
“What are you on about?”
Rocky would not get careless, as Qualia talked about his strategy. It could be a bluff.
But at the same time, he could not help but laugh at the idea of the beams continuously hitting the same spot.
“I can use Shukuchi. How are you going to keep hitting a target moving at sonic speeds? Get a better script.”
Hitting a target moving at sonic speeds with beams of light, in the same place.
Rocky used Shukuchi, so he knew how foolish it was to attempt it.
He pictured it, while provoking Qualia.
Surely he was aiming for the parts not covered by the Diamond, like his eyes. But if he covered his eyes while he moved, Diamond would protect him.
Or he could try to stop Diamond by hacking it, like he did with the ancient magic stones Black Hole. But the magic device that was the black outfit covered the magic stone with a cloth that was as hard as diamond.
It also had magic energy resistance through different means. He knew even before Qualia appeared that magic stones were vulnerable to interference from magic energy, so he had that covered.
Rocky continued listening to that pointless bluff, while nodding to himself about his perfect solid formula.
“It has been calculated that it will take a hundred and eight shots to break through your magic device.”
“Good luck hitting them then!”
Rocky activated Shukuchi, and thought of a plan B, because Qualia could move instantly.
(If he can jump somewhere else instantly, I’ll change my target to one of the princesses…)
Lobelia clearly stood no chance, but the wounded Spirito could also not avoid the lightning speed of Diamond. And he would finish off Qualia when he was shocked by him turning them into pulp.
He took a step forward while confirming this cruel plan to himself, but…
“Execute Teleportation.
Affirmative. Firing a hundred and eight shots.”
Rocky heard that voice from the side. Qualia had landed without making a sound, and the assassin was caught off guard, even though he knew Qualia could move instantly.
Before he could turn to him, super technology flowed from the hand placed on his shoulder.
“Execute Teleportation.”
“…Owaaaaaaaabababababa!!”
Instantly, he was thrown into the night sky.
Basically, Rocky was free falling from a height of ten thousand meters.

I thought it was implied before that Qualia can only teleport himself to people he has touched before. Maybe I just misread though. Rocky sure is unlucky that Quailia’s teleportation has such a large range!
It would take this long to fall from that height, assuming the same gravity and terminal velocity as on Earth: (10000 m – (9.807 m/s^2 * (120 mph / (9.807 m/s^2))^2)) / (120 mph)
That equates to about 3 minutes and 1 second. 3 minutes is plenty long enough for Quailia to get 108 shots in. Even if the dude can use Shukuchi in mid air, Qualia still has about 25 seconds.
