What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 38 – The artificial intelligence conquers the salamander – Part two

The salamander began to act violently as its fire intensified and it yelled.

The noise of structures collapsing continued, as it did so as easily and casually as someone bringing down a sandcastle.

“What, aren’t you running? Do you have any idea how many chivalric orders attacked this guy and were eaten by it?”

“Error. No such data.”

Qualia robotically pointed the photon weapon and fired.

It hit the salamander directly on the head, but while its head bent backwards momentarily, it was not pierced.

“Revising optimal solution.”

Despite the black hole in its skull, the salamander was still alive.

Ghost’s face twitched for a moment, but he laughed proudly when he saw his pet alive and well.

“Ah, that’s a pretty good weapon you got there… But my salamander’s better!”

The heat and toughness of the salamander surpassed Qualia’s optimized solutions as well.

It was a monster that dominated fire, but also something only found in the lower levels of a dungeon, somewhere only few people could enter.

It seemed natural that a body that could contain such scorching heat could also resist a beam.

However, even though the beam did not give him the results he expected, Qualia remained unfazed.

The idea that monsters that were able to resist those beams could exist was not something that he did not account for.

In the first place, the autonomous humanoid combat android Shutdown fought more logical, more destructive, and more cold-blooded weapons of destruction than the salamander. The existence of the salamander was more than he accounted for, but not entirely unexpected.

“Analyzing situation.”

He used the information he acquired and learned.

Its skin and flesh were destroyed to a certain extent. If the beam was not one hundred percent ineffectual, there was no issue.

“The normal mode of Type GUN lacks sufficient firepower. But it has been determined that rapid fire is not necessary. Changing Type GUN’s mode.”

It was a simple issue of fire power.

The revision of the optimized solution was soon concluded.

The light being output by the 5D printer changed the photon weapon, making its gun barrel longer, and its muzzle wider.

“Type GUN, MAGNUM mode.”

The photon weapon made a noise, and the expansion was complete.

It was now considerably bigger than the normal, rapid-fire mode.

Also, when Qualia pulled the trigger, it did not fire immediately. The beam collected and was condensed in front of the gun barrel.

A high-pitch, fricative sound echoed as energy was sucked into a beautiful ball.

“Ah. I don’t know what magic is that, but I’ll turn you and that stubbornness of yours into ash!”

Yelled Ghost.

The salamander obliged by opening its mouth widely, where heat covered in light gathered. It was the same kind of fireball that caused the big explosion earlier.

It was well beyond what a human could shoot using fire magic. It would vaporize someone’s body if it hit directly.

“Bye bye, mister iron mask.”

The tip of Ghost’s mouth was raised on the left side, as the sun created by the monster was ready.

And then, the fireball was finally released from the salamander’s mouth.

“No prediction revisions.”

But the highly concentrated beam pierced not only the fireball, but also the salamander.

“Enemy down. Threat eliminated.”

“Eh?”

The giant body sunk, and lifted a cloud of dust.

Ghost was unaware of what happened until Qualia vocalized it.

What was left behind him was pretty much just an empty shell of the salamander, as its flesh and most of its internal organs had been vaporized.

“Wait… The salamander… Is a monster from the lower floors. The monster merchant said so… Ah…”

He looked at the remains of the salamander, and when he turned back to Qualia with a dumbfounded look on his face, his chin shook.

Without even looking at Ghost as he crumbled to his knees, Qualia called out to Ina, who stood still in blank amazement.

“Repeat. Request that you stay within a ten meter radius of Qualia. We are going to the shop from earlier.”

“Y-yes!”

As they saw Qualia and Ina run down the hill road, the beast people who had holes burned into them murmured.

“…He took down a salamander so easily…”

There were sounds of teeth being clenched, along with sobbing.

“Was it doomed from the start…”

“Retreat… We’re nothing but decoys.”

A beast person looked on at the refined streets of the upper area.

“The real deal is up this road.”
