What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 53 – Twelve hours after the holy war

Twelve hours after the holy war, Liebe sat on his chair and looked up.

“Apparently the hideout in the south of the capital was also busted.”

Said Backdoor, with sad eyes behind his sunglasses. He was right, Azure Skies was being destroyed.

Azure Skies had around a thousand members, and it was reduced to the dozen or so in front of Liebe.

“…I heard from the ones who escaped from the upper area. Apparently there was a guy who neutralized the ancient magic stones.”

“And from a distance too. Very frightful, very frightful.”

Liebe leaned back on his chair as he faced up, and a sigh escaped his lips.

“Do we have any ancient magic stones left?”

“The hideout where they were stored was raided earlier.”

Even the few executives who still followed Liebe felt like giving up. All that could be heard was things hitting other things, clicking tongues, and groans.

And Liebe cut through this mood with one sentence.

“…How about a suicide attack?”

Everyone stopped breathing and shifted their eyes to Liebe.

“We failed in defeating the capital, and lost most of our comrades. I take full responsibility. I can at least put an end to it.”

“I think you should stop. You’re strong even among beast people, but even you can’t take on all the knights.”

“It’s not as though I have no chance. I’m not looking to end my life.”

Liebe took something from his pocket, threw it into the air, and caught it. It was a pure black magic stone.

It was unmistakably a black hole ancient magic stone.

“You had that…”

“So? Did you think I used them all? I didn’t let you manage everything.”

Backdoor held his mouth open at something he did not expect.

“Apparently the knight called Qualia used some sort of magic to produce beams of light when he stopped all thirteen ancient magic stones. I don’t understand the logic behind it, but I assume those beams are the main point.

That makes it simple. I just have to keep this close to me and make sure none of the beams hit it… Until it explodes in the upper area.”

But no one alluded to the fact that Liebe would perish when this was executed. He was more ready for it than anyone.

“…Hn?”

There were a lot of footsteps. It was clear a group was running around the hideout. And the sounds of steel hitting steel made it clear they were knights.

Everyone present were beast people, so their ears were sharp. That meant they looked where the knights were before they even entered that space.

“There they are! The remnants of…!?”

“Welcome, diligent humans. You hit the jackpot, you bastards.”

Liebe got up, and looked at the knights who were still pushing forward from the back. There were thirty of them.

He put out his right hand, and a magic circle enveloped in a haze appeared. This was not basic earth, water, fire, or wind magic. This was a sign of a special kind of magic peculiar to Liebe.

The blood vessels spreading through his glaring eyes showed overwhelming killing intent and fury.

“Stealth.”

Liebe vanished from in front of the knights.

“Gah!?”

There was only a scream.

The knights had no idea what was happening to them.

Before they knew it, they were being destroyed. Before they knew it, they were dead.

What they knew was that their vital organs were being ripped apart, or bitten out.

But by the time this became clear, they were sinking into the sea of blood that covered the hideout.

None was left standing, as the carpet of corpses on the crimson blood was complete.

One knight was just barely alive, as he looked up and finally could see Liebe.

“This… Liebe… They say before the magic dolls came, he fought back over a hundred knights alone…”

The knight vomited blood, and drew his last breath.

Liebe saw it, and turned to the flustered people on the other side of the red carpet, including Backdoor, before speaking quietly and yet boldly.

“You, survive. I will make sure the actions of Azure Skies were not for nothing, and turn this capital into a burned wasteland. I will live to avenge my sister to the end. This is my hill to die on.”

“Y-yes…”

Every beast person besides Backdoor scattered like spiders, lacking the courage to stay.

“Yes… All that matters is that she’s avenged. My only sister, Ina, will be avenged.”

Backdoor turned the other way and left, not waiting to see Liebe disappear into the darkness along with his hate filled words.

But as he walked away, a thought popped into his mind.

(Ina… Ina…? I received information about a beast girl serving as the attendant of Qualia of Hello World, the one who stopped the ancient magic stones. Wasn’t her name Ina?)

Backdoor’s mouth loosened, and he fixed his sunglasses.

That information that came from ‘a certain’ chivalric order did not make the rounds in Azure Skies.

“I need to confirm this… Who is this little Ina? In this day and age, family reuniting after each thought the other was dead isn’t all that uncommon.”

Said Backdoor while licking his lips. His intentions were certainly not good.

What floated around his mind were not emotions about wanting to save Liebe, but thoughts about how to prevent Ina from becoming an unexpected obstacle in the plan.

“…It’s me.”

Backdoor reached a building with the flag of a chivalric order. It was a triumphant return, accompanied by a repulsive amount of malice.
