Walking in another world – Chapter 755 – Avid dungeon – Part twenty-four

“! Be careful! Monsters are approaching!”

I collect the nelsha bodies into my Item box, and Rurika’s voice echoes.

The loose atmosphere after a battle is once again tense.

I look at Map, and see a reaction approaching. Two!

One from the lake, a tartaruga. The other is coming from the other side of the lake…

“Is that a hydra?”

A big monster soaring through the skies approaches.

It’s slower than nelshas, but it will be here in ten minutes.

“I want to avoid fighting both at the same time.”

“Can you take on the tartaruga, Argo? I’ll draw that thing towards us.”

If I use stuff like Provoke and Transfer, I should buy some time.

I also want information to decide how to fight it.

“Sera and Mia, stay and deal with the tartaruga. We’ll handle the hydra.

I try to go alone at first, but Rurika says she, Hikari, and Chris will act as support.

It’s true that they can’t use their power to its fullest against the tartaruga.

“Don’t overdo it.”

“Yes.”

I nod to the concerned Argo, and we leave them while I cast magic.

I can adjust where it lands with Farsight, even if it’s far. I can attack an opponent without it attacking me if I use this, but it uses more magic energy and I can’t fire recklessly.

And apparently it’s weaker, but it still succeeds in attracting the monster’s attention.

“It’s huge.”

I thought that when I saw it via Farsight, but it feels even bigger now that I’m seeing it through the naked eye.

It’s like there’s a big wall in front of me. And every one of its nine heads moves autonomously, so there are eighteen eyes glaring at us.

I hold up my shield, and cast Provoke.

Despite holding the shield, I think I’ll focus more on dodging.

“It’s breath!”

One of the heads opens its mouth wide and expels fire.

I jump back to dodge, but another uses its breath as if chasing me. This time it’s wind.

I can dodge with Transfer, but looking at the other heads with Parallel Thinking tells me four of the heads are following me intently.

The other three are keeping an eye on Hikari, Rurika, and Chris.

I give up on using Transfer, and grab my shield harder while dropping my posture.

“Aura Shield.”

I use a Shield Master skill, Aura Shield, and a semicircle forms around me to block the breath.

This is why I’m holding a shield.

Aura shield blocks the wind breath, but another comes immediately after.

Ice, poison, then acid come, and I rush to jump back when the Aura Shield is broken.

The breath hits the ground and raises smoke as it melts it. The bad smell makes me hold my breath.

But the attacks don’t stop there. It charges forward while using darkness breath, and I take a big leap to the side.

I can’t block the charge of something bigger than a large truck. At least its big size means it’s not that fast, but the fact that it also bites and strikes at me with its heads like they’re whips means I’m forced to stay on defense.

The others are looking for chances to attack, but the long necks keep them at bay.

This forces them into long range attacks such as Projectile slash and magic, but breath nullifies them all.

Even when they do get close, this thing is covered in hard shells, so physical attacks don’t work too well.

No, that’s not quite right. It’s damaged, but it doesn’t stay that way for long because it regenerates.

I don’t think this will go down unless we can outpace its regeneration.

I think it’s using magic energy to regenerate, but the amount I’m feeling with Magic Energy Detection is very small. And it also recovers after using it.

I think it might be close to my Natural Recovery Boost.

“Sora, let’s draw its attention for a bit. Chris and Hikari want to try a big move.”

I hear Rurika say next to my ear as we fight.

I’m startled, but Hikari is far from me.

Did I mishear it? Apparently not, because Rurika is moving out and Hikari and Chris are staying.

And I can feel Chris’ power rising.

“I used Gale.”

I hear it again. She’s throwing her voice. She can do that?

I don’t know if she can see it, but I nod and cast Provoke while firing magic, so the hydra’s attention doesn’t turn to the other two.
