There are a few video sites in the Pokapoka colony. Among these, the Media Guild is involved with ones where viewers send money directly, or earn revenue through advertising.
By the way, the topics you should upload to make a living off videos are a little different in the Pokapoka colony compared to others.
In Pokapoka Flower Field Prime, it’s in vogue to live on grassy asteroids and run farms. Many people upload videos about these animals out of necessity or looking for revenue.
Contact with rabbits ranks on top of the list, as well as cute cats or ‘wuv you wuv you xenomorph’.
In other colonies there is stuff like ‘Bouah! I’m a mining man!’, and stuff like mercenary vlogs. Also things like streams of cameras in food cartridge production plants. From that point of view, this colony’s video sites really are different.
But wouldn’t that mean videos about a mercenary and his activities would stand out and be successful in Pokapoka?
With that in mind, everyone threw money down the drain.
Today, among the videos uploaded, there is one with a boorish thumbnail. The uploader is Genma, and the channel’s name is Genma the Mercenary’s Slow Life Channel.
I kind of like the name.
The thumbnail shows an odd machine that’s like a tortoise with eight legs. It’s like the shape you would get if you put a double cheeseburger on a Mcdonald’s nugget box.
On the thumbnail it says Mid-size combat ship: Tortilla Double. But it’s short and stout for a combat ship, and looks like it would occupy a whole dock for mid-sized ships.
The title is Introduction.
Once I open the video, the thumbnail stays, but girls appear on both sides. One is clearly one of the infamous laflotty. She has ice cream like hair with a mostly black hairpin, a frilly white shirt, and a black balloon skirt.
Another is a mouse beast person. She has gray shoulder length hair with a black formal hat, and also has a white frilly shirt and a black balloon skirt.
The laflotty is about half a head taller, and mice beast people tend to be pretty short.
“Yaho~! Welcome to Genma’s channel~!”
“Hello! Nyelcome to Genma the Mercenary’s Slow Life Channyel! That’s already different from what we agreed for the introduction!”
“Hahaha~! And you already fumbled your words~. Iris~. Shouldn’t we redo this?”
“Let us continue, so you get a feel of the flow.”
I hear a somewhat stiff female voice, and text appears on the screen saying they used the fumbled take anyway.
“Fine then~! I’m Kori! Genma’s wife!”
“I-I am Suzuri, also his wife, I think.”
“And I am Iris, a mechanical intelligence purchased for six hundred thousand puni. I will be filming. I am also a wife.”
Another woman appears, also wearing a frilly white shirt and black balloon skirt, but her shirt can’t hide her almost bursting fullness. She also has round glasses, and elliptical shaped white machines on her ears that show she’s mechanical intelligence.
All three are beautiful.
I check the comments at this point, and see some saying Genma has bad taste taking a laflotty as a wife, and that with so many beautiful women around him, they should send Tannhäuser to teach him a lesson.
“But Genma has two more beautiful wives~!”
I see, throw him into a black hole. I don’t know if that’s a joke or serious, but the comments get pretty extreme too.
“Well then, let’s start by introducing the ship~! Tadah! A mid-sized ship! Tortilla Double~!”
“Servant Model N.8 Kyuryukan. On top, it has a big laser cannon turret used by destroyers as their main cannon.”

The footage then cuts to outside the ship, filmed from above at a diagonal angle behind it. It’s like a third person view, but I’m sure there’s a filming drone.
Also, more than ten combat ships and power armors are shooting at it, but the shield blocks it all. One by one, they’re destroyed by the large laser cannon.
The footage stops, and the two girls jump into frame from each side.
“As you can see, space pirates of this level are nothing more than a wage~.”
“Hum, The reward here was ten thousand puni. And the scrap from the ships was salvaged into fifty thousand puni.”
A lot of the comments are saying that’s more than they make in a year. Some compare it to famous adventurers in Pokapoka, saying there’s no tension to the battle. It’s just flying and taking them down. Is this Return of the King, some say.
“How about we go inside!?”
“As you can see, Tortilla Double is bigger than normal combat ships. And that also goes for the cargo bay.”
The camera passes the hatch in the back, and they reach the place they call the cargo bay.
There are some containers around, and some power armors. Looking at it more closely, I see someone stretching in a corner.
“Oh, Saratha is doing something~!”
“Vasilisa is stuck to the ceiling.”
A snake woman with red hair and red scales is near an elevator. Her long torso is against the wall, and she’s stretching all the way to the ceiling. She’s lightly dressed, so her ample chest really stands out, and there’s some black dirt on her face.
There’s also someone hanging upside down from the ceiling. She has reddish brown tentacles clinging to the ceiling, and although her clothes should be following gravity and coming down, it’s censored.
She has silver hair and very pale skin, and also has black dirt.
“I’m not ‘doing something’, we’re fixing the broken elevator! Genma’s stuck inside!”
“Boss, this is probably a cut wire rope. Looking at the manual, I think it triggered an emergency stop.”
“Damn, really!? Can you replace it?”
“It can be made with the alchemist crafter!”
The stiff female voice echoes, and the snake woman’s upper body comes slithering down. And the octopus woman comes down from the wall.
“Hum, this is Saratha, and this is Vasilisa~! Both are darling’s wives!”
“Ah? Iris…! Stop the camera! Don’t film! I’m dirty with grease!”
“Eeh!? No, seriously, stop! Look at my state!”
The comments are saying beautiful women are beautiful no matter what, and some are typing ‘biiiiiiig’. They really are beautiful.
Someone says purification, and the dirt disappears from them. And then they’re off somewhere else.
“Ah~… What now? We can’t go up to the living room. Should we use a recording?”
“We can film later. Is Genma all right!?”
“I am, but what are you up to!?”
“Master, we are filming. Please put on your going out clothes and try to look a little cool.”
Gimme a break! Is what I hear.
Text appears saying an hour went by, and the footage cuts to a man coming out of what looks like an elevator.
“Seriously, cut wire… That didn’t show on the self maintenance.”
“The deterioration was faster than expected. I didn’t expect this to happen…”
“You picked up the ship, right? Aren’t there a lot of small details you haven’t checked?”
“We have the puni, so should we do a large scale maintenance?”
“Yes yes~! Sorry, I knew it was a serious situation~! We’ll work on that when this is done, so introduce yourselves~.”
“I feel like he is going to be mad if we keep filming…”
Well yeah.
“Ah… I’m Genma, a Highway three mercenary. A mercenary full of vigor that was suddenly called after a space pirate hunt, and promoted after an academic test.

Saratha the snake person and Vasilisa the octopus person stand on either side of Genma, and grab his arms. The comments are quick to point out they’re blatantly touching him with their breasts.

The camera moves, and the mechanical intelligence gets everyone in shot, including herself.
“We have clothes for everyone, and this is the end of the introduction video. Please give us high ratings and a like.”
The video is over. The views are in the three digits, and the comments in the two. I don’t know if they’ll get more.
