Immediately after I ask that, one of the pulsating smokes suddenly stops, deflates, and disappears. And the drop items earned so far scatter. The other pulsating smoke gets larger, and it appears with an Earth-shattering sound.
“…I guess only one unique monster can appear at once.”
I move in front of Gadaga before it can even find me.

It says the same thing as before. It could be a response to what I said, but I feel an uneasy feeling like it’s both looking at me and not. But I say yes.

Hm, so I got weaker, but still.
My stats are higher than before, and I’m more skillful. There’s no way I’m losing.
This Duel skill is tricky to use, so I haven’t really tested what can be done with it. I’ve tested it on monsters, and the barrier is lifted when they go down, but I haven’t found any other way to do it.
If that is the only way, I can’t use it on people, because if the other person accepts the duel, I’ll have to kill them. I can’t communicate with monsters, so if I try to experiment with them, they’ll just attack me, and they won’t cooperate in finding a way out. So the results of my investigation are skewed.
That’s why I really wanted a second Duel skill. I can’t see too much into it, but my mother-in-law Sakuya might.

That’s another thing I wanted to check. This isn’t Gadaga from last time, and I don’t feel that same life and sense of self I felt from it that time. It’s like a copy of that one. Like a pale imitation.
I killed that one, so I figured there was a low chance it would reincarnate with the same memories, but this is the result.
It was intelligent enough to speak, so I figured something as special as a unique monster might reveal secrets about the dungeon.

“…Tch. Yes. Too bad.”
The life I felt from the first one is gone. It’s like a shadow made from that combat data.
And so, I fight with full power, mourning Gadaga in a way, and cut off its head.

I got more experience from it than the special golems, so I assume there’s a unique monster bonus. If I ever find another unique monster that can talk, rather than immediately putting it down, I’ll see if I can get information out of it.
