“It seems Ryuuga is a much bigger man than we thought.”
“Yes… He swallowed his thirst for vengeance and anger, and trusted someone else… I’m surprised he could be that way to a person responsible for his father’s death.”
“That’s what he’s like. He says he’s weak, but he’s really strong.”
A conversation between these two could have led to blood being shed, but Ryuuga showed a lot of tolerance.
Yuugo said that to Tadakatsu and Motonari as if bragging about his partner, and they laughed a little.
“I am also surprised that Ryuuga left his sword with you.”
“A sword is more important to a swordsman than his life. The way he handed it to you with no hesitation shows how much he trusts you.”
“Of course! Mister Yuugo and Mister Ryuuga would put their lives in the other’s hands! This bond goes deeper than you think!”
“I think Yuugo had a lot to do with how Ryuuga changed. Like he said, meeting you led him to grow.”
“Don’t say something so embarrassing with everyone here. I’m not that big of a deal.”
The praise from the Yamato VIP flustered Yuugo.
From his point of view, he did nothing that special. He just did what seemed natural.
Get along with his friend, understand each other, and help each other. That was all.
It was not him alone that led to a positive result, so he felt it was not that big of an achievement.
“Gahahahaha! I like you even more, Yuugo! And Ryuuga!!”
“And you will welcome him as a son-in-law that will inherit the house one day… I’m sorry, but I won’t let that happen, Tadakatsu. Remember that you are not the only one with his eyes on him.”
“Regardless, it’s obvious my daughter will win. Sakura is the most charming out of all the girls around! Right, Yuugo!?”
“Father! Please don’t embarrass me! Can you not see you are troubling him!?”
Tadakatsu laughed loudly after throwing Yuugo a question that was difficult to answer, and Sakura interjected.
Yuugo smiled awkwardly, thinking Tadakatsu should learn to think about the situation around him a little more, but he continued.
“Should we invite Ryuuga too!? Yuugo would be happy to have his friend close by as a guard, right?”
“No! Of all the things you have proposed, that is the worst one!”
“Yes… I can’t approve of that, even from Tadakatsu.”
“Hahahahaha. I agree with you two.”
Yuugo and the others showed opposition to the idea of Ryuuga becoming a close aide of the Amamiya family.
Tadakatsu seemed baffled by their strong opposition, and Motonari turned to him after a big sigh.
“You really are… Can you say that again after seeing that?”
“Hm? Ah… I see.”
Motonari pointed to the small opening in the door.
When Tadakatsu looked, he nodded strongly.
“…He really is strong. Really…!”
Raiha had a light smile on her face as she watched the one who saved her and her father reconcile.
She hesitantly looked at Ryuuga, looked away, but still kept him in her sights. Just by looking at her, it was clear how she felt about him.
If Ryuuga joined the Amamiya family as an aide, Raiha’s love would go unanswered… Tadakatsu realized what they meant, and Yuugo spoke as he thought back to what he did and said.
“It looks like they’re done talking. Mister Castle should be back soon, right? Something weird got in the way, but we should start the tour… Oh?”
Ramy and Shian’s group disturbed them, but the idea was to show the three heads of their families around the academy.
Once Uno was back, Yuugo wanted to get that started… But as he said that, he heard footsteps coming their way.
Speak of the devil, he thought with a smile, but when he turned around to speak to Uno…
“Eh…?”
As he expected, Uno was there, but Yuugo stammered when he saw who accompanied him.
A middle aged man with the same fire red hair as Yuugo, and a stern expression.
Yuugo had only met him once, but he could never forget him, so his eyes opened wide.
The man looked at Yuugo silently, and spoke plainly.
“It has been a while, Yuugo.”
“F-father…!?”
