“How is Chris doing?”
I ask after bringing food to Mia, who is looking after Chris.
Rurika and Sera weren’t as let down as Chris, but it was still a blow to them, so they went to rest first.
“She’s still sleeping. She doesn’t have a fever, so I think she’s all right.”
Holy Magic can’t treat cold like symptoms and exhaustion.
We can’t have Mia collapse too, so I tell her she should eat.
She looks embarrassed, and says she’s actually hungry, and then she eats slowly without rushing. I should have brought her food first.
I put Chris’ soup in the Item Box, take some distance, and cast Appraisal.

She’s still not well.
I shouldn’t talk about what I heard before with Mia here. Chris might hear, and try to force herself to go.
“Shouldn’t you rest too, Mia?”
“Suiren and the others will take turns looking after her later. I’ll just stay until then.”
“I see…”
“…What are we going to do now?”
“Well… I guess we’ll stay here until Chris is feeling better. I want to hear more about that side from Kotori too, and the people I was cooking with also asked if I could share some vegetables.”
Mia looks surprised to hear that, and I explain why.
Apparently I’ve brought some vegetables that don’t exist in this town, and they want to try growing them.
“Will they grow?”
“Who knows. I think it wouldn’t be hard if there were seedlings and not seeds.”
That’s just my assumption anyway. They’ll probably grow from seeds too. And there are people here who specialize in farming, so I should leave it to them.
Then I stay and chat with Mia until someone comes to take over from her, and it’s time to go rest.

“I see. So you and the others explored a dungeon too.”
“Too? Does that mean you guys went to a dungeon too?”
“Yes, the Majolica dungeon in the Magic State of Efa. Do you know about Efa?”
“I know that much. We went to the one in Prekes.”
Kotori responds with a frown.
She doesn’t know much about this world, so I figured she didn’t know. She doesn’t seem to know the names of other countries though, just the places she visited.
And then, Kotori tells me about her experiences in the dungeon.
Apparently they were hunting monsters in the dark forest at first, but their levels weren’t going up too much, so they were sent to the dungeon.
“You didn’t go deeper into the dark forest?”
“No, that wasn’t allowed. Hum, they said complicated things about it being dangerous outside the barrier. And apparently that’s why we went to the dungeon.”
Barrier? Is that a thing? Is that related to why Ignis didn’t go to the capital despite being in Elesya?
And apparently they went to that other dungeon just as we were exploring the one in Majolica.
Siphon said they couldn’t enter the dungeon in Prekes. Does that have to do with Kotori and the others?
“It was terrible. Shun got scarier every day, and was always fighting with the knights… Kaede always stepped in, but it was terrible. But if what you say is true, Shun started acting weird because people from the kingdom did something, right?”
“There’s a very good chance. Actually, I can’t imagine it being anything else.”
Kotori says she also had a bad feeling, and felt dark emotions welling up, but talking to Kaede made her feel calmer.
“But that makes sense. Kaede was worried about you, and said lots of times to important people in the castle that she wanted to see you, but was always told no. Turns out you weren’t even in the castle anymore.”
“I was thrown out the day we were summoned.”
“That’s so awful. But that’s what they’ve always done. So what are you going to do next?”
“About that. I want to know more about the elf you met. Was she the only one? Were there others?”
“I only met one. I don’t know if there were others.”
She says she met her so she could teach her spirit magic, so they must’ve figured one person was enough.
But the ones with magic energy… Were they sacrificed to summon us?
We don’t know that for sure, so there’s no other option than to check for ourselves.

I was hoping we would find out more about the elf, hopefully that will happen next. Looks like now is very worried about Chris I’m surprised it’s not one of the other 2 in with her
