“…That idiot’s overdoing it.”
Raiha let out a sound as she was blown away, and Koumaru whispered.
Zaraki was in a good mood, having shown Raiha the half loong the difference in their power, and smiled as he loosened his clenched fists.
“That’s done. All that’s left is…!”
“…!!”
Setsuna and Sakura’s magic items were taken away, and Raiha was pushed until she was nearly out of action.
Zaraki looked at the Loong King Fang Yui was holding, and approached her slowly as he spoke.
“Don’t bother resisting. I’m not gonna do anything if you just give me that sword.”
Zaraki showed a surprisingly gentle attitude, but Yui stepped back and away from him.
He continued walking towards her, not really stopping her, and she spoke with a trembling voice.
“…This sword is my brother’s soul. If I give the Loong King Fang to you, it will stain that soul. I can’t let that happen.”
“Even if it kills you? Your big brother wouldn’t want you to die for a sword, would he?”
“…Liar. You want to kill me even if I give it to you, don’t you? Your soul is telling me that.”
“…Ah, this brat is pretty sharp.”
Zaraki kicked the ground with an evil smile on his face.
His sharp claws shined, and he attempted to close the distance quickly, but Raiha stood between them and blocked that charge.
“Raiha…!?”
“Run, please…! Run…!!”
“You can still move? I wasn’t expecting that…”
Raiha tried her hardest to bring out the dormant loong power within her, and faced Zaraki. But she could not make up for the gap in their power, and was hit in the head with both his hands in a hammer swing, smacking her down to his feet.
“Gaha!? Guh, goboh!!”
“Raiha!!”
“Run Raiha! We’ll deal with…!!”
“It’s useless. You don’t want to suffer even more, do you?”
Setsuna and Sakura yelled with grief as they saw her friend being hit.
As she heard the voices of the girls whose magic items were taken away, and could not move properly, Raiha stood up and faced Zaraki, but was no match for him.
“Uu! Uah! Ah, guah! Guuu…!”
She was hit, kicked, slashed with claws… She was tattered without even putting up a proper resistance.
Her miko outfit was in pieces, but she still faced him with her wounded body. Zaraki looked down on her, hit her, and spoke.
“You really are a complete idiot. Scared of your loong power just because you killed one person, and you don’t even try to make it yours! You could draw a line between yourself and people using loong leftovers to make magic items, and surpass humans!”
“Gah, ha…!”
“Stop…! Stooop!!”
Zaraki clearly enjoyed torturing Raiha.
Sakura yelled, unable to do anything but watch, as Zaraki picked Raiha up by the neck and spoke as if mocking her.
“You’re going to be a test subject. First, your limbs will be cut, you’re going to be given all sorts of negative emotions, and data will be collected… In the end, you’re going to a seedbed to produce half loong people. A fitting end for someone who couldn’t be human or loong…!!”
“Ah…!”
She reached out towards Zaraki as he mocked her, and slashed with her claws that housed a magic item.
There was a scratching sound… But the loong person Zaraki was unharmed, and the stretched arm drooped.
“Run Yui… Please…”
“Raiha that’s eno…!!”
Raiha’s consciousness was hazy and she could not move properly, but she continued telling Yui to run away.
Yui cried, but the loud sound of hooves was accompanied by the voice she wanted to hear the most.
“Yui!! Are you okay!?”
“Big brother!!”
“Wha!? How did Ryuuga get here so fast…!?”
Koumaru sounded surprised, as he saw Ryuuga arrive on a black horse, looking their way with a desperate expression.
He never expected him to get there that fast, and yelled at Zaraki with irritation.
“Zaraki, forget the sword! Bring the loong miko!”
“Okay okay.”
Ryuuga approached his sister with Skull, as Zaraki moved towards Koumaru with Raiha.
Koumaru took out a round crystal from his pocket as he watched them, and held it high.
“Is that… A loong jewel…!?”
“It’s not perfect, but a half loong and two powerful magic items with loong power should be enough. This will accelerate my research.”
“Ryuuga.”
The jewel shined, and the naginata and bow turned into particles that were absorbed into it. Raiha said Ryuuga’s name with a lonely smile as she saw him, and spoke quietly.
This is fine, she said, but it did not reach Ryuuga. Still, he was surprised because he could read her lips.
As her sad smile, and her eyes and heart that accepted her fate were burned into his mind… The light hit her, and much like her friends’ magic items, she was sucked into the jewel and disappeared.
“…Sealing complete. Now the loong miko’s power is mine.”
“No way…!?”
“Raiha… Raihaaaaaaaaaah!!”
Setsuna and Sakura yelled at this shocking development.
As their screams echoed, Ryuuga took his sword from his sister, and slowly approached Koumaru while glaring at him.
“…I don’t know what happened, but I know who to cut. I’ll thank you for looking after my sister.”
“You’re quite calm. Shouldn’t you be feeling refreshed after what happened to the girl you hate?”
“That doesn’t matter. But I do thank you two.”
Ryuuga unsheathed his sword, and pointed it at Koumaru with cold bloodlust.
He was quiet, but more intense than ever, as his emotions spilled from what he said to Koumaru.
“I wanted something to take this out on. You’re unlucky.”
