About the case of destruction flags being demolished after a nichiasa loving otaku was reincarnated as a villainous student – Chapter 37 – Someone saved by the villain

“Big brother! Big brother!”

“Yuugo! Are you all right!?”

“Yes! What about you?”

As Marcos saw those two run towards Yuugo, he sighed to himself, as he asked why there was no worry about him.

Still, it was only natural… But as Marcos thought back to his position as a troublemaker and accepted his treatment, Phi’s scream echoed near him.

“Big brother, your hands…! Are all ragged…!”

That voice brought Marcos back from his thoughts, and when he looked at Yuugo, he saw that he had undone the Blaster transformation, and his hands were bloody.

It seemed Yuugo’s hands had paid the price from repeatedly punching that hard crab shell with spikes, and Phi seemed to be on the verge of tears when he saw those hands that looked to be in pain.

You can have one or two fists of mine if you want. That’s a small price to pay compared to the lives of the children… The words he threw at the crab kaijin were certainly no lie.

The skin was broken, and it seemed the pain was reverberating all the way to the bones, but Yuugo fought with all he had to protect the children.

“Yuugo, let me see your hands! I can do simple healing magic, so I’ll treat you!”

“Thanks. But don’t worry, it’s really not a big deal.”

“Who’s not going to be worried when they see bloody hands like these!? You really are…!”

“…Blaster’s abilities can’t keep up with you, big brother. I have to do something…”

Marcos felt jealous.

He thought Yuugo was blessed, having a friend who worried when he was injured, and a little brother who thought of ways to prevent it from happening again.

At the same time, Marcos knew that it was Yuugo himself who built those relationships, and sighed to himself while whispering.

“I’m no match…”

Somewhere in his heart, he already knew it. When he lost the duel, when he fought the monster armor beasts in the tunnel… When he saw Yuugo do his thing, Marcos knew he was no match.

He could not accept the mixture of respect and jealousy he felt for him, and that brought him here, but… Now that he accepted Yuugo, Marcos felt his mind was more clear than he expected, and smiled a little.

It did not feel bad… And as he smiled slightly about that, he saw Yuugo put out his wounded hand in front of him. And when Marcos looked up at Yuugo’s face, he saw a smile directed at him.

“Nice going Marcos! We won!”

Suddenly, Marcos noticed that there were children all around, who were probably watching the fight.

The faces that were noticeably on the verge of tears before were painted with smiles, and as they praised him and told he was cool, Marcos felt a sense of pride he could not put into words.

“…Yes, that’s right. We won this battle.”

He forgot all about the competition happening during what he thought was a lame quest, and took Yuugo’s hand as both praised each other for their victory.

Marcos grabbed Yuugo’s hand to help him up, but continued to shake hands firmly even after the fact. He expressed a gratitude that could not be put into words, and after that fight, had to reevaluate his estimation of the hated rival in front of him.

Yuugo was strong. Far stronger than him.

But that did not make Marcos worthless. At the very least, there should be something to him if he was shaking hands with Yuugo.

As Marcos thought that he wanted to one day be a man who could puff out his chest, and recognize his weakness while looking for his strength, the trust in the boy in front of him deepened, as he went from scum to an all right guy in his mind.

After shaking hands, Yuugo turned to where that man was blown away, as if he just remembered him.

“Now we just have to restrain that guy. We don’t want him causing trouble again.”

“Agreed. And take that weird magic item he had in his poc…!?”

Marcos agreed with Yuugo, and turned to where the man was supposed to be, but was so shocked that he could not finish his sentence.

He was blown away after taking a blow from Yuugo… But he was nowhere to be seen.

There were the marks he made while sliding on the ground, and even marks where he fell.

But he was gone, not even leaving footprints, blood, or any other sign that he ran away. Marcos was not the only one who was surprised.

“It can’t be… I didn’t even hear anything!? How did he get away!?”

“I dunno. Dammit, we blundered right at the end…!”

There was no doubt that they were careless, but there was no way a badly wounded, fainted opponent could get away without them noticing.

Yuugo felt frustrated at how they took down the enemy that was after the children, but failed to restrain him. And as he clenched his trembling fists, they waited for the arrival of the guards the employee called.
