“Ou ou ou…!! So many precious loong materials…! Water, wind, and lightning too, so it looks like Blaster will keep getting stronger!”
A little later, Yuugo got his friends together and showed off the materials he got.
Yuugo handed the materials to the technicians Angel and Phi.
“Use them as you wish. Analyze them, reinforce magic items, make new weapons, whatever you want.”
“Hey hey, that’s a lot you’re laying on us. You’re the one who received them, so you can take them all for yourself.”
“I didn’t, we did. We all took Zaraki down together, so they’re not just for me to use.”
Scales, nails, fangs, beards, tails, the materials that Yuugo received were plentiful and varied.
He stated they should all share them, and Angel nodded with a smile on her face, as she tapped her large chest.
“All right! Leave it to me! I’ll take responsibility for them!”
“Thanks! Phi, help An and learn while you’re at it!”
“Eh? Ah, y-yes. Okay, big brother.”
Yuugo asked his little brother to help Angel with the materials entrusted to her, and the somewhat restless Phi responded.
Meanwhile, Angel turned to Melt, who was also looking at the materials.
“Melt, how about we try strengthening your Seward Ring? I think it’ll turn out pretty good.”
“Hm, I agree, but… I have mixed feelings about it…”
Seward Ring was a simple offensive magic item, and Melt wondered about Angel’s proposal to add loong power to it.
On one hand, adding wind, water, and lightning loong power would not simply make it stronger, it would widen its capabilities in battle, so it should be all good… but she was hung up on one point.
“Weren’t these materials given to Yuugo by the combat miko’s parents so he would become their husband? I feel like I would lose if I used them…”
“So it’s your pride as a lady? Well, I get it.”
Using the materials given by the parents of her rivals to encircle him gave the heart of a lady in love mixed feelings.
But if she had a stronger magic item, it would help Yuugo as well.
As Angel showed she understood Melt’s struggle with these two points, she turned to someone else.
“What about you, Marcos? Do you want to strengthen your Giga Scissors?”
“No need. You can use the loong materials.”
“Eeh~? Isn’t that a waste? You can add to it the elemental resistance loong have. It’d be even stronger!”

Marcos left, as if saying the conversation was over.
The others watched him leave, and all looked at each other.
“Marcos has a point, but he could consider it for a bit~…”
“Giga Scissors’ weakness is that it’s not as strong against magic as it is against magic attacks, so I thought we could fix that… Was I out of line?”
“No, I think I was.”
“What do you mean, big brother?”
Yuugo mumbled as he scratched the back of his head, and everyone’s eyes were on him as they wondered what he meant.
He smiled awkwardly, and explained how Marcos was feeling.
“Marcos was never gonna use materials given by his rival to make himself stronger. I’d say the same thing in his place.”
“I see, so it’s like Melt.”
“A guy’s pride~… That’s a loss for him, but I guess it’s just like Marcos…”
Marcos saw Yuugo as a rival, so he could not allow himself to use materials offered to Yuugo by VIP from Yamato who acknowledged him.
He contributed plenty to the fight with Zaraki, but he probably thought he still fell short compared to Yuugo and Ryuuga.
Being prideful and wanting to do something about it on his own rather than jump on this good fortune was just like Marcos, the others thought as Yuugo looked at the time and became flustered.
“Oh no, it’s already this late!? I need to hurry!!”
“What’s wrong, Yuugo?”
“Their fathers called me! They want me to take them around the school! Take care of the materials!! Use them as you wish!”
Yuugo only stopped by there to give them the materials, and ran out.
Angel thought he was a busy guy, and smiled awkwardly as she spoke to Phi.
“Well then, let’s start by analyzing them. We need to see if they’re compatible with the magic items. Are you helping me, Phi?”
“Ah, y-yes!”
Phi gave a flustered response.
Melt picked up a strange mood from him, and approached his face with her own as she asked about it.
“Phi? What’s wrong? You’ve been acting weird…”
“Eh? Hum, well…”
Phi’s eyes wandered as he struggled with how to respond.
As both thought about how he seemed distracted since Yuugo called him, he fidgeted and spoke with a restless tone.
“Hum, actually…”
