She was attacked by a monster armor beast and in danger, but as Yuugo was at a loss for words, she continued.
“This situation is clearly odd! It’s gone beyond a test! If the point is to test my decisions… Yuugo! Remove the bracelet and fight with all you have! I’ll buy time!”
Yuugo also thought something was not right, but as Neries thought that, she told him to remove the source of his weakening.
But this bracelet was not easily removed, and Yuugo would have to remove Blaster and become unprotected.
That was something he could not do while being attacked by the mail beetle, but it would be possible if Neries acted as bait.
However… That meant Neries would be exposed to danger.
If this was not a test, and was in fact an emergency, the danger was even higher.

Yuugo was indecisive, but Neries yelled to erase those doubts.

She said it so resolutely that Yuugo stood up straight.
Neries dodged an attack by the mail beetle while looking at Yuugo and yelling loudly.
“I entrust my life to you!! So remove the bracelet!!”
“…Okay! Just give me some time, Neries!”
Yuugo felt the strong spirit in her as she repeated his words from before, and made up his mind.
He removed Blaster and grabbed the bracelet on his wrist. The magic made it hard to remove, and he did his best to pull it out.
Meanwhile, Neries did her best to continue dodging the attacks of the mail beetle.

It was not as graceful as Yuugo or Mizari, and she moved without any affectation, but the fact remained that she was getting through the attacks.
Perhaps it was the agility boosting magic she cast, but the slow mail beetle could not keep its sights on her, and she continued evading it.

Neries had seen Yuugo and the others’ moves during training.

She thought as she continued moving, but… suddenly her knees buckled, and she fell on the spot.

She quickly got up, and realized she was breathing pretty heavily. And her body felt pretty heavy.
She was open in this moment of surprise, but managed to roll on the ground to evade the mail beetle’s attack, and laughed at herself when she could not move from there.

She managed to calmly see through the enemy’s attacks, make her moves swift through magic, and continue to evade.
But there was something she could not fix, her stamina. She was a supporter, so unlike the others, she was not used to moving in such an intense manner.
The nervousness and sense of duty made her move and forget about her exhaustion, but she was at her limit.
Her breathing was heavy, she was sweating, and she was sitting on the ground unable to move, as the mail beetle approached.
“…I should have trained my body harder.”
Whispered a regretful Neries as the mail beetle raised its sword.
She closed her eyes tightly and curled up, and heard a metallic sound.
“Hey. Turn this way, monster.”
“Jyu…!?”
The surprised Neries saw the mail beetle turn around after being called.
The next moment, it took a hit to the face and was thrown to the ground. Neries saw Yuugo in front of her, and her expression turned bright.
“Yuugo1!”
“Sorry I’m late. But thanks to you, the bracelet is off.”
He said as he showed off his arm with nothing on it, and the bracelet on the ground.
The metallic sound was the sound of the bracelet being thrown at the mail beetle, thought Neries as Yuugo spoke.
“Thank you. You saved me… Hero.”
“Ah…!!”
Neries’ eyes were wide open, as that was the highest praise she could get from him.
Yuugo thanked the girl who put herself in danger to fight for him, and spoke as he turned to the mail beetle that was getting up.
“Now… It’s my turn. I gotta be cool in front of the hero that saved me.”
“Jyu, rahh…!!”
The mail beetle groaned, enraged at Yuugo for continuing to make it suffer.
Yuugo activated his armor again, faced the enemy he needed to take down, and howled quietly.
“Now I’m really serious. Stop me if you can!”
