About the case of destruction flags being demolished after a nichiasa loving otaku was reincarnated as a villainous student – Chapter 49 – Signs of a turn-around

“Hebuh…!?”

A dull sound echoed loudly, but it was not the sound of Rush piercing Yuugo’s chest.

When Rush tried to deal the killing blow, the impact that landed on his face made him let out a foolish sounding scream, before he was thrown back as if he was sliding on the ground.

Why? How come? He attacked, but ended up being attacked instead? No, more importantly…

“H-how come I took this much damage? T-that scum’s attacks shouldn’t work on me…!?”

There was no doubt that the counterattack landed perfectly, but still, Rush was not supposed to take that much damage anyway.

He felt no pain after being punched with a fist loaded with as much magic energy as possible, so how did Yuugo blow him away that time…? Rush was at a complete loss, until Yuugo shook his right fist and spoke.

“…You’re light. Your fists don’t resonate no matter how much you hit. That’s why I’m not scared, and I’m not gonna lose. The fact that you were blown away is proof of that.”

“Don’t give me that! That was just a lucky shot! The next one will finish you!!”

Rush did not understand what happened to him, but it was not important. As long as he did not get careless and landed a killing blow, that would finish it.

Blaster was almost completely destroyed. There was no way Yuugo could put up a proper fight with it.

And so, Rush jumped at Yuugo to finish him off for good. But when he once again received the fist of a Yuugo that was clearly in tatters, he felt an unbearable pain again and stopped his attack.

“Guah!? Ga, ah…?”

“Oooooooooh!!”

Rush’s attack was evaded, and he received a punch to the stomach, that came with a dull, heavy impact.

Next, Yuugo pulled back to deliver a left handed punch to Rush’s face, and it dealt so much damage that it resonated inside that tough crab shell of his.

“Ahu, ah…!! Why? Why am I taking damage!? What did you do, Yuugo Clay!?”

He could not understand.

It was not because it was strengthened by magic energy. It was simply, purely… Him being overpowered and taking physical damage.

But that could not be. It should be impossible. There was no way Rush’s crab shell would lose to the metal of an old magic item like Blaster.

But… The reality was that Rush was taking damage from Yuugo’s attacks, and it was not shallow either.

Just what kind of trick was he using? Only one person present did not understand… And it was Rush, who was near Yuugo.

“…I didn’t think it was possible to fight like that…!”

Said Marcos with clear surprise on his face, as Yuugo landed another punch on Rush.

This time it was his chest. It was pretty much unprotected because Rush was so confident in his defense, but when Yuugo delivered a straight punch, the moment it landed, his fist was covered with a lump of black metal.

The armor was pretty much gone from everywhere else on Yuugo’s body, but that was not just due to the damage. It was giving Yuugo the power to defeat this vile monster armor beast.

“Blaster is a magic item that uses magic energy to fixate metal particles into the shape of an armor. If that metal is compressed as much as possible and concentrated the moment it attacks, it can make that metal harder than Rush’s shell…!”

“He thought of a plan like that at this point of the fight…!? Then he can…!!”

“…No. It still… Isn’t enough…!”

Just in the nick of time, Yuugo found a way to attack the crab shell that sported incredible toughness.

Marcos and Melt saw hope as they saw Yuugo abandon the defensive power the armor provided him and focus on offense, but Phi, a technician, saw its limitations.

Yes, he could damage Rush by fighting like that, but it would not land the killing blow.

Now matter how much he strengthened the metal particles, much like how a blade would nick if it cut hard things, the metal covering Yuugo’s fist was breaking.

It was not enough, literally. Blaster’s metal particles would run out before Rush would go down.

But Yuugo had no more ways to strengthen his attack. Even after coming this far, he was still not a match for Rush.

“I’m sorry, big brother…! If only I had improved Blaster more…!”

If Blaster had more metal particles, that might not have been a problem in this fight.

Phi lamented this failure that came from him misjudging his brother’s limits, and crumpled down while crying.

If his brother lost, that would be his fault. If he improved Blaster to bring out more of brother’s power, this would not have happened.

Phi blamed himself a lot, but…

“…What’s with that face, Phi? It’s almost like you think I’m gonna lose.”

“Eh…?”

I had trouble understand it at first reading but after reading a few more time, now I understand, Yuugo gave up some parts of the armor and turn it into more power and toughness on his gauntlet to increase his offense and speed. can this be consider cast-off?

I think its more on diverting the power of the suit to one point.

I know this happened before but not on a Kamen Rider but on a Sentai, i cant just pinpoint it.

Technically Cast Off, but not at the same time. He traded his defense for offense, but it’s still not enough since the tradeoff is just his metal particle being diverted into his fist instead of his entire body and each blow shaves away the metal particle amount due to the crab kaijin’s shell armor.

Next Chapter, he’ll lose Blaster after using up all of its metal particles. But KR logic kicks in and he gets a power type form upgrade.
