American reincarnation★Love alliance – Chapter 14 – The crimson star sorcerer and the azure star heroes

“Chai! Do you have any idea how worried we were!?”

“You idiot! Running out like that on your own…!”

“Ouch ouch…! Alright, let me go!”

Chai was caught by the back of the neck and flailed like a small animal. He looked cute surrounded by his sister, or he would if they were not poking and pushing him.

“What a nice reunion!”

“I think he is crying.”

Chai’s sisters were twins, but their bodies were not so slender, as they had womanly curves.

Their skin was a little lighter than his, and they looked like surfers with their air boards under their arms.

They had elven ears like their brother, and bluish silver smooth hair that reached down to their developing chests.

“Oh…! Chai has very cute sisters! Are they about three years older than him? It looks like their chests are still growing… That’s right in my strike zone.”

“Stop looking at them with such lewd eyes Ameriko.”

“Are you jealous?”

“Of course not, I am simply telling you to stop looking at them like a sex offender.”

“I saw you looking with a weird expression too.”

Said Ameriko while poking Himeno’s cheek. Bullseye.

“Uu… Well… I admit I was hoping they were boys like Chai… That would be the best…”

“Fah? What are you talking about?”

“I could ask you the same question!”

Ameriko and Himeno looked on at the twin sisters and their little brother messing around, with impure expressions on their faces.

“I’m here now aren’t I!? And just like grandma predicted, I found heroes to save the village!”

“…Heroes?”

“Those two?”

“Yes! Didn’t you see Himeno cut the needle bear’s spines with her magic sword? Ameriko is incredible too! She can take down a beast in one shot. They saved me, and I’m sure they can save the village too. They’re really strong witches!”

Chai spoke very quickly, and although he was serious, his sisters looked at him with blank expressions on their faces.

The twin sisters were hard to tell apart. There was a slight difference in their eye color, and their clothes and accessories were different, but everything else was virtually the same.

“…Excuse us, we should thank you first. We are very grateful to you for saving our little brother.”

“Thank you very much for taking care of our little brother. How can we thank you?”

After celebrating their reunion, the two sisters turned to Ameriko and Himeno, and lowered their heads while thanking them. They seemed very nice and polite.

“Let me introduce you. This is Luk and this is Mewk, but I call both annoying… Ouch!”

Both hit Chai in the flank and behind.

Apparently the one whose hair jumped a little to the outside was Lukria, and the one whose hair curled inwards was Mewkria.

“Hehen! We just did the right thing!”

“We just happened to be passing by…”

Ameriko puffed out her chest with pride, and Himeno bowed.

“Himeno! That modesty of yours isn’t a virtue you know!? We did rescue him, and you should be proud of that! We should at least get a meal and a bath out of this!”

“How about you be a little more modest!?”

“Yes, we should do something to thank you.”

“There is nothing here, but you can relax in our village.”

“There’s nothing? That su… Ubu!”

“T-thank you. We will be in your care!”

Himeno quickly blocked Ameriko’s mouth and bowed again.

★●

“Eh!? You’re the son of the village chief!?”

“Hahaha, it’s not such a big deal. I’m the youngest child.”

Chai’s family governed this village.

As the name implied, Svartarvahei, the country of dark fairies, was a small country ruled by light brown elves.

Although it was called a village, it was closer to a self-governing city-state that included that entire forest region.

“Hmm, so you are a prince…”

“And you used him as a hugging pillow…”

“Stop right there.”

Himeno’s face turned pale, as she thought it might cause trouble if Chai’s sisters knew she snuck into his bed while he was asleep, hugged him, and touched him all over.

“They really took care of me, and even hugged me at night so I wouldn’t feel lonely.”

“Dowah!?”

“Are you alright Himeno?”

Ameriko and Himeno were taken to the building in the center of the village. It was both where Chai’s family lived, and the main administrative organ.

It was a large three story building constructed with carefully processed wooden beams. It felt like a mix between Japanese Buddhist temples and thatched roofs found in the south. In this warm and humid climate, it was a good idea for the entire building to have good ventilation.

There were a few large tables lined up. They sat around one, and were treated to various fruits, meat, and drinks.

Chai excitedly told his sisters about his adventures with Ameriko and Himeno.

“They’re both really strong! It all started when they took down this huge orclord…!”

“You were still sleeping at the time, Chai.”

“Hahaha, was I?”

Said Chai while laughing.

“Oh! Are you back Chai!? I’m glad to see your sisters didn’t kill you!”

“The village chief… Your parents were very worried.”

“You found yourself a bride in another country…!?”

“Apparently they’re witches.”

Villagers gathered after hearing of Chai’s return, although half were there to see the two strange visitors with blonde and black hair.

“Make sure you apologize to mom and dad later.”

“Yes yes. They were very worried.”

“Uu… Alright…”

It seemed Chai was no match for his sisters’ glares.

Some thought it would be nice to have an older sister, but in reality, most of the time it was a one sided relationship where the younger brother could not go against the older sister.

Eventually, their parents arrived.

“I heard all about it. I am very grateful to you for saving our son.

Said the imposing village chief with a friendly smile, before exchanging firm handshakes with Ameriko and Himeno.

“Y-yes, no problem.”

This man was gentlemanly to a fault. His eyes glittered, and his charisma was palpable.

Chai’s father appeared to be in his thirties, and he was tall and muscular. His skin looked tanned, his short blue hair was combed back… And he was human.

“What an honor it is that our son was saved by witches… Make yourselves at home.”

Chai’s mother also calmly thanked them.

Her skin was white, and since she was an elf, it was impossible to determine her age. She had silver hair, breathtakingly beautiful facial features, and a body to match.

“Eh? Your father is human?”

“And your mother is a pure elf?”

“Yes. We’re half human half elves.”

This explained why Chai and his sisters had ears more or less the same length as humans’. Their mother on the other hand had the ears one would expect from an elf.

“…Although we actually have five children.”

“Fah!? Five!?”

“F-five you say!?”

It was a lot, but it was understandable. The father looked strong and vigorous, and the mother was beautiful and had a nice body. Obviously they were very busy at night.

“I see… I get it.”

“You get what?”

Responded Himeno as her face turned red.

And then, it was time to get into the main subject.

“…Our oldest son, Tikania, and his younger brother Hyurika were taken by the sorcerers.”

Said the elf mother with a sullen expression.

“I don’t know if I should be talking about this with traveling witches, but you probably already know that order in our world is being destroyed. Law and order was maintained by the kingdom of Ludenberg, which was unfortunately destroyed by the sorcerers.”

Ameriko and Himeno heard some of it from Chai, but were now hearing more about the current state of this world.

There were many small countries like this village that just barely got by, and the sorcerers would occasionally visit them to demand food and resources.

Anyone who opposed them was killed, and after the kingdom fell, no one went against them.

“Question. Are there many sorcerers?”

“Only one is seen as a true sorcerer. The one who descended on ‘the night of everlasting darkness when the crimson star fell’, Liu Kinfei…!”

“Lukira! You shouldn’t say that name!”

“Mewkria, I don’t believe in cursed words.”

Said Lukira while banging the table with frustration.

“Liu Kinfei?”

“Is that the name of the sorcerer?”

It sounded familiar, and somewhat disturbing.

“The sorcerer has many slave sorcerers working for him, too many to count. They destroyed the kingdom, and not even heroes, famous warriors, wizards, or witches could stand against them… They are simply too strong…! They are devils without a heart!”

“Dear, please stop. Someone might hear you.”

The village chief clenched his fist tight as he passionately spoke, and was calmed by his wife.

It was possible that they were being watched from a distance via magic.

Chai’s father’s body was covered in scars, and many wounds that seemed to be fresh. He probably fought hard to protect his sons.

“Our father did his best… But it was to no avail.”

“They said with a faint smile that they would kill everyone in the village if we opposed them, and then took our brothers.”

Said the two sisters with clear pain in their voices.

“That’s terrible…!

Ameriko was indignant.

“So that’s why Chai went out to look for heroes.”

“Yes… He heard grandma’s prediction that two azure stars would fall on a meadow in a faraway land, where forests and seas were no more. These are the two heroes who will save us with the power of the stars, she said.”

Chai said in a very heated manner while looking at Ameriko and Himeno with a serious expression.

“That’s…”

“Us?”

“I knew as soon as I met them that Ameriko and Himeno are the stars that will save us.”

Everyone present listened quietly, and their gazes focused on Ameriko and Himeno.

“…We’ve come…”

Ameriko stood up, and quietly opened her mouth.

She looked around, composed her breathing, and with an imposing expression, puffed out her chest.

“The oppression, violence, and lawlessness that is happening here is unforgivable…! It goes against the justice and ideals I believe in!”

People gasped in awe.

“Ameriko…!”

Chai’s eyes lit up.

“I believe in freedom! Law and order, respect for people’s lives, human rights and the pursuit of happiness…! I will fight to bring back peace!”

Loud shouts and cheers broke out and shook the village.

“It can’t be helped… I will assist you as well, since we are on the same boat.”

“Thank you Himeno. We are the alliance of freedom to defeat the sorcerers.”

“You sound like a president giving a speech.”

The two bumped fists.
