American reincarnation★Love alliance – Chapter 28 – Ameriko’s final battle!

A chain of explosions occurred inside the giant disk.

The energy condensed to critical levels had nowhere to go and destroyed the disk from the inside.

“So you were waiting for the exact moment when I fired to use the hole in the barrier…!?”

Aegis the slave sorcerer understood what happened. The blonde irregular was waiting for the exact moment when she would fire the main cannon.

“Himeno told me to attack when an enemy is firing if it has a powerful beam.”

Ameriko said while directing a peace sign at the disk. Himeno said it was a surefire way to win, and it turned out to be exactly that.

“…W-what… What are you…”

The mushroom headed woman was surrounded by explosions.

The giant disk tilted and fell towards the surface as it filled the air around it with black smoke. After losing its unseen support, it crashed into the ground, followed by a big explosion.

“Himeno! Get out of there!”

Ameriko was very concerned about the sheer scope of the explosion.

“Oooh! We did it!”

“That big thing is down!”

“Awesome! Their army and even the monster in the sky are down!”

The soldiers celebrated.

Just before the disk was completely destroyed, a white bird leaped out into the sky.

“Look…!”

“Is that a bird…? No…”

“Himeno!”

She jumped and kicked the air to escape the flames, before gently setting down on the roof of a nearby building. The simple barrier shield on her left arm was turned up to its maximum output, allowing her to use the impact of the explosion to escape.

“Cough…! That was close.”

Himeno landed on top of a building two hundred meters away from where Ameriko stood.

Although they were far away, they could communicate via a magic voice transmission device built into the simple shield. Himeno’s face was dirty with soot, but she was not injured.

“Good job Himeno!”

“Ameriko, were those missiles!? Your summoning skills are becoming quite over-the-top.”

“Hehehe, sorry. I was thinking I couldn’t reach it with a gun, and wanted more firepower to reach further way…! When I wished for that sincerely, I managed to fire missiles.”

“Anti-air missiles… Good grief.”

The conversation was suddenly cut short.

“….Himeno?”

Ameriko could not believe what she saw. A monster that looked like a black mushroom pierced Himeno’s chest from behind with its tentacle.

“…Guha… Ameri… Ko…”

Said Himeno before spitting blood.

Her blade fell and stuck to the roof.

“My god…!”

“Aaah!?”

“Miss Himeno!”

“It can’t be! Where did that come from…!?”

“Is that the core of the disk!? The slave sorcerer!?”

Its form was created by gathering black particles. The head looked like a mushroom, and below it were what looked like jellyfish tentacles.

It appeared behind Himeno and pierced her from the back after changing the shape of one of its tentacles into something that resembled a blade.

“Himenoooooo!”

Screamed Ameriko as she summoned a Barrett M82 anti-material rifle.

She shot the monster with the black mushroom head, destroying half of its head and spraying bluish purple liquid.

“Let her go!”

The impact made the mushroom pull out the tentacle stabbing Himeno’s chest, but although half of its head had been blown away, many of its tentacles still held on to her legs.

Why was it not dying!?

Part of its brain was falling out of its destroyed head like pomegranate.

Its mouth was open, but said nothing. Could it be that it was moving even after death?

“Save Miss Himeno!”

“Uooh!”

Nearby soldiers headed out to rescue Himeno, who was not moving. The blood pouring out stained her white outfit.

But the black tentacles moved like whips, and mowed down the soldiers.

“Guah!?”

“W-we can’t get close…!”

“Let go of Himeno you bitch!”

Ameriko calmly took aim, although she was boiling with anger, and fired carefully so as not to hit Himeno.

An hexagonal barrier distorted the space around it as it activated, but only for a second, as it was no match for the kinetic energy of a bullet from an anti-material rifle.

The supposedly invincible barrier shattered, and the body holding Himeno staggered as the bullet hit the mushroom head right in the middle.

“Marvelous power and energy! Just as I expected from someone who slaughtered my slave sorcerers!”

A man’s voice came out of the mouth of the woman whose mushroom head had been blown away.

“Who!? Let go of Himeno!”

The mushroom headed woman released black particles, which projected a man’s body in the air.

“I am the true ancestor of the sorcerers, born from the distortions in this world! Liu Kinfei!”

Burning red eyes, eyebrows slanted upwards with anger, and a smile full of scorn and completely lacking in fear. The projection focused on the brazen face of Liu Kinfei.

“That’s…!”

“The sorcerer Liu Kinfei!”

“The boss of the slave sorcerers…!”

“So you’re the last boss! What do you intend to do with Himeno!?”

“Blonde irregular, Ameriko I believe. This black-haired girl is not yet dead. She is a precious sacrifice, and a key to open the gate to heaven…!”

“Fuah!? What!?”

“Come to my castle if you want her back…!”

The mushroom headed woman’s body broke down into black particles and began to reconstruct itself in the form of a small disk-shaped cloud wrapped around Himeno.

“He’s taking her to the holy city of Ethnocentria!”

Yelled vice-commander Reblef.

Himeno was being taken to what was practically turned into a demonic castle. Even Ameriko could see she was being drawn into a trap.

“I’m not letting you do that Liu Kinfei!”

“Kuhaha! Did you not hear me? If you want her, come to Ethnocentria alone Ameriko…!”

“Shut up! Let go of Himeno you insane bastard!”

Ameriko screamed over Liu Kinfei’s words.

“Foolishness. All the cards are in my hand. Can’t you see? This is no negotiation, it is my command… I am ordering you to offer your life…!”

“Quiet! Get away from Himeno!”

Ameriko’s expression became bloodcurdling as she gave Liu Kinfei an order with a muffled voice.

She was no longer willing to hear her enemy’s taunts, all she could think about was saving Himeno.

“You can scream and shout all you want, it will do you no good. You are completely powerless…! I am thirty kilometers away in Ethnocentria…! Kuhaha! Do you understand? Nothing will come of it even if you destroy what you see in front of you…! You may even cut your partner’s life short! Understand your dire situation, and despair!”

The sorcerer, Liu Kinfei, was sure of his victory.

The face that appeared on what was basically a dark hologram laughed devilishly, and the black cloud floated towards the sky, wrapped around Himeno.

“Ameriko!”

Screamed Chai.

He was with the unit who accompanied Himeno on her assault against the giant disk via the underwater canals.

“Chai…!”

Chai was accompanied by two beautiful elven girls and a girl Ameriko had never seen before, but appeared to be a witch.

“These two are my brothers! And she’s a disciple of a sage from this country! We just happened to meet underground!”

It appeared Chai’s brothers had escaped into the underground canals.

“Oh…! That’s great!”

Ameriko regained her senses thanks to Chai, after noticing how enraged she had become. Her worry over Himeno made her lose her cool completely.

“So you are Miss Ameriko. We need to talk.”

Said the girl while opening the notebook in her hand and running towards Ameriko.

“And you…?”

“A disciple of a sage, Metis. The real Liu Kinfei is in the holy city of Ethnocentria. He is in the highest place in the castle, which he calls the room of prayers, and has become assimilated with it, making him unable to move.”

Her voice was quiet and her speech precise. She sounded as though she did quite a lot of research and analysis.

“Wha…!? How do you…!?”

The sorcerer’s voice was clearly shaken.

“The sorcerer can’t move…?”

“Yes. This space is fifty seven meters from the ground, and is surrounded by a pillar with a diameter of twenty meters. The sorcerer has become one with the castle thanks to the Demon Castle Barrier, meaning anyone who comes inside will be killed. But that is a double-edged sword for him.”

The sorcerer was unable to move. He had become one with the castle itself.

That was the real reason why he sent out his slave sorcerers.

“Okay! Thanks! So I just have to blow the whole castle?”

Ameriko once again glared at the black hologram showing the face of the sorcerer.

“So what if you know!? What can you do from there!? Useless! You will all peri…!”

“Quiet! I won’t forgive you! That’s all!”

Ameriko’s anger exceeded her boiling point.

She was filled with power, a power much greater than when she shot down the giant disk. A white shine gathered above her head and began to swirl.

…USA

USA

USA!

That was the source of this power. The shine coming from her pendant.

“Everyone…!”

They were turned into this crystal, but her people’s hearts were still alive. The hot feelings of her people and their thoughts gathered and flowed into her like energy.

The scream of justice told her to shoot down evil. She raised her fist into the air to do just that.

Three stars began to shine in the daytime sky. They were actually the shine of GPS satellites being formed.

At the same time, smoke erupted from the light swirling above Ameriko’s head.

“The distance is not a problem. Even if you hide a thousand kilometers away… I will destroy you!”

A projectile that looked like a white whale was shot out.

It ascended vertically using a rocket booster, and with a thunderous roar shifted to level flight.

Ameriko focused her strength to fire two more.

“That… Will do nothing! Do you think you can break my barrier!?”

“You won’t have time to repent.”

The projectiles accelerated until they hit the speed of sound, and deployed their fin stabilizers. They flew straight towards the castle.

They were thirty kilometers away from their target, meaning they would hit it in thirty seconds.

“Ooooooh!?”

“Those fire spewing spears are flying…!?”

“Let’s save Miss Himeno now!”

“Ameriko, what’s that!?”

Said Chai as he crouched while covering his ears. Ameriko helped him stand up straight.

“Tomahawk cruise missiles… Once they hit, it’s over.”

She launched tomahawk cruise missiles.

By using GPS and seekers, they could hit their target with precision.

They had particularly powerful warheads. These were made to pierce tough, well protected targets.

“At the very last I can tell that’s a weapon to defeat the sorcerer!”

“You got that right!”

Ameriko and Chai ran towards Himeno.
