I Summoned the Devil to Grant Me a Wish, but I Married Her Instead Since She Was Adorable ~My New Devil Wife~ – Chapter 107 – Second day in the capital

“You want to exercise?“

Helvi repeated Theo’s words back at him.

“Yes.”

After finishing making breakfast, they ate it in their room while sitting at a beautiful table.

As they ate, the topic of what they wanted to do that day came up.

“By exercise, do you mean what you used to do in the morning in Nemophila?”

“Yes, morning training.”

“Hm… I see.”

Helvi thought of something a little different when she heard the word exercise.

They were unable to ‘exercise’ the previous night, so she thought Theo was proposing they ‘exercised’ that morning. Sadly for her, she was mistaken.

“I’ve been training every day, so I was thinking I could get weaker if I didn’t do it…”

“…Hm…”

He was right. If he kept at it and did that sort of exercise every day, he would gradually become stronger.

Still, for someone like Helvi who was born the strongest being on the planet, working towards becoming stronger was something she did not understand very well.

(Still… I am not actually going to say this, but the type of exercise we do at night is actually more effective…)

In this world, strength was dictated by the amount of magic energy one had.

How big and muscular one’s body was also played a role, but someone with slender arms like Helvi could be powerful enough to destroy the entire planet.

Training every day was a good way to increase the size of one’s body and gain fighting instincts, but the quickest path to power was to increase one’s maximum magic energy.

Theo had been slowly becoming stronger recently because of his training… Or so he thought, but that was not entirely correct.

He was a little physically stronger than when he started, but he was not going to become incredibly powerful or anything with that alone.

Theo was becoming stronger because Helvi was slowly transferring her magic energy to him.

The maximum amount of magic energy Theo could hold was never high, but it was slowly increasing.

And the reason for all of this… Was what they did during the night.

Their nightly activities were making Theo stronger little by little, and it was quicker and more efficient than regular training.

(If you want to become stronger, we really should be doing our nightly exercise, instead of the type you do in the morning… But I really should not say that.)

“I see, morning training. I will accompany you.”

“Eh!? R-really!?”

“Of course. I will not have any fun if I go into town by myself to buy things or something while you train.”

“Thank you!”

Both smiled as they continued to eat the breakfast they cooked together.

Theo changed into clothes appropriate for exercise, and left the room with Helvi.

They walked down the luxurious hallway of the inn, and its manager, Idea, appeared from the front.

“Oh my, it’s mister Theo and miss Helvi. Good morning.”

“Good morning miss Idea.”

“Good morning.”

“Are you two going out? Where are you going today?”

“First we need to take care of the morning exercise.”

“…Uh?”

Idea seemed perplexed for a second.

(Morning exercise? Are you by any chance talking about… That? Where do you plan to do it? Outside!?)

(No. What are you talking about?)

(Oh. Good morning miss Helvi.)

Helvi saw what Idea was thinking, but Idea did not seem to be very surprised when Helvi suddenly interjected inside her mind.

(By morning exercise, do you mean as husband and wife?)

(No, regular exercise so Theo becomes stronger.)

(Oh, I see. Fufu, I understand but…)

(…Right?)

Idea was a beast person, and had good senses for this sort of thing.

She knew what Helvi was talking about, but still purposefully misrepresented it as a way to tease her.

She even knew Helvi would be listening to her thoughts, and thought something she wanted to reach Helvi’s ears.

(Shrewd girl…)

(Fufu. I will take that as a compliment.)

“If you leave the inn and walk left for a few minutes, you will reach a wide area where you can exercise.”

“Ah, I see. Thank you for telling us”

“Don’t mention it. Good luck with your morning training mister Theo.”

“Thank you!”

“Take care miss Helvi.”

“…Yes, thank you!”

Without letting it show that she was having a conversation in her mind with Helvi, Idea excused herself, before Helvi and Theo headed towards the open area she told them about.

Helvi just needs to slowly increase Theo’s gravity over time. Like 1% per week should do it. Combine that with their other activities, he should increase his strength at an optimal rate.
