It’s a big something with a shape that resembles a human’s.
It has a big eye on its head, but no mouth or nose. And it also has an eye on the right side of its chest and stomach.
Its right arm is strangely developed, has claws coming from three fingers, and cuts nearby trees just by touching them.
The left arm is a lot smaller, and only reaches its waist.
Its legs are too big for its body, and thick. Its whole body is blood red, on ominous color like someone ripped the skin off a person.
This time, my opponent is this three-eyed monster.
It swings its right arm, and mows down trees around it.
Its weapon, the claw, has a fain light, making it feel like it’s powered by some sort of magic.
As I think it’s another annoying one, I send a projectile slash from behind it.
Of course, it doesn’t hit it, and it erases it with its right claw.
Next I attack with a rock spear.
The magic circle produced spear magic catches it off guard as it swings its right arm, and hits it directly. Or at least it should have, but something like a transparent curtain appears in front of it.
The rock spear pierces the curtain, but the delay means the three-eyed monster dodges it.
I immediately attack from above, but the monster disappears and my longsword hits nothing.
I don’t have to look for it, because Spatial Grasp picks up where the monster is.
It’s behind me, swinging up the right arm to cut everything.
I immediately jump back to close the distance, but there’s even more distance.
It closes in on me at the range where it’s most powerful.
I don’t try to dodge, and instead block with the longsword, but it’s lighter than I expected.
But the magic in the claw isn’t blocked.
The light passes through the claw and rips through my body.
The damage is internal, and stops me for a moment.
I heal on the spot, but then I’m hit by an unseen power that sends me flying back.
I crash into a few trees, break them, and roll on the ground. When I stop, I get up and compose myself.
The three-eyed is above me, ready to swing down again.
Once hit, I know more or less what to expect.
I stomp my foot, creating a wave of magic energy that dispels the magic energy in the claw. I cut down the claw with the longsword, and pierce the approaching three-eyed.
It tries to block with the transparent curtain, but I know what it is.
I create a flow of magic energy in the tip, and pierce the transparent curtain.
The tip catches the three-eyed, but ends up hitting nothing again.
Ahh, I exhale as I look at it far away.
I think I get most of its power.
The three-eyed has the ability to move space in an instant, and an invisible hand in its left arm. I can’t be careless about the right arm, but I can deal with that if I have a plan.
It’s definitely not fast, it’s just the ability to move that’s tricky. And I can predict where it will go by the movement of magic energy.
It’s not a threat to me.
It might be hiding more abilities, but I’ll get over them too.

The man Tanaka nicknamed Nanashi heard the roaring battle outside, and asked Fuuma if he should help.
