Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 17 – Finishing the box

“Yes, I can’t help but be curious.”

I can’t really focus on the goblins and killer rabbits I’m hunting.

Part of it is because my sword broke and I’m using a knife. And also because I’m tired. But the biggest reason is the Swift skill in my bag.

I didn’t think to check when I got Super Strength, so I just took it back with me. But with Swift, I saw all the effects, abilities, and drawbacks on the application. That’s why I can’t help but be curious about what would happen if I used it. Like, what would I see?

Even if it delayed Maki becoming my exclusive…

“…I have two weeks. Not to mention that with a skill, and knowing what to expect, I should beat that monster more easily. And it feels like the drop rate of skills has gone up quite a bit… Should I use it?”

I’m lost in thought for about thirty seconds, and reach a decision.

“Let’s use it!”

I can’t get it out of my head. I can just get it again!

And so, I immediately learn the skill, and try running.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

“Ahh… I was panicking there for a second. I thought I couldn’t stop if I didn’t crash into something like that thing, but apparently not.”

I experienced the acceleration after running a few times.

The application doesn’t mention it, but I remembered how the murder rabbit used it, and it made me go pale. I’m pretty sure my speed was multiplied not by three, but by four.

But as I ran, I figured out that I can control the speed to a certain extent. If I thought about slowing down, I would, and the same went for speeding up. This skill is pretty flexible.

“I guess the rabbit just didn’t have full control of it.”

I think I might actually be able to move faster, but it felt like any more would be dangerous. It’s probably because my Constitution isn’t high enough. If I tried to go faster, my legs would probably give out, causing me to trip and tailspin. I might even die.

I’m done testing it after doing a lap around the forest, and it’s time to get back to hunting monsters.

“How should I use this in battle… If I can reach top speed in an instant, I think I could use it to dodge. But if I don’t also decelerate, I’m going to keep going without stopping.”

As I picture myself looking like an idiot blasting away in the middle of a fight, I try different things while fighting monsters, and none of it really works.

And before I know it, I reach level eleven.

“I don’t really want to stop this before I even have a clear picture of how to use it, but I don’t want to waste the XP either.”

And so, I open the map, and see reactions of people not too far away.

But since there are still no monsters in the forest, I go a bit deep into it, and press the ten spins button after activating the skill.

Clank clank clank.

I get one purple, two reds, and seven blues.

“SSR really boosts my stats like crazy. I even got Agility to triple digits! It’s too bad it wasn’t a skill, but that’s the same value as ten of the lowest R capsules, so it’s worth it.

Appraisal Obstruction sure comes out a lot… I have two hundred Luck, so is that actually a good thing… What’s Appraisal Obstruction anyway? Does it block others from appraising me?”

My train of thought is then interrupted when the capsule machine starts shining.

“Uwah, what!?”

I’m surprised by the dazzling light, but once it settles, I see the same capsule machine as before.

No, it’s the same shape, but its color is different.

I didn’t really pay attention to it before, but I’m pretty sure it was all white. But now it’s blue. It’s like the blue of R capsules or blue slime.

Also, part of the sticker in front has changed.

‘Version up! The effects of power up items have increased!’

‘Version up! The level cost has gone from one to two!’

‘Version up! Taking into account the tendencies of the long-time user, the one spin button has been removed!’

‘Version up! Since the user has only used the ten spins button, the maximum capacity has increased!’

‘The ten spin button guarantees at least three SR’

‘110/110 remaining’

“…I’m glad the effect of items that improve my stats has increased, but they upped the price too!? But at least I don’t have to get the Level Gacha skill again to refill it, like I thought. That’s good news at least…”

And it changes depending on how it’s used…?

I’m thinking that since it spends more levels, it would be better to have pressed the one spin button with each level up, even if that would’ve been a pain. But the maximum capacity increased because I kept pressing the ten spins button, so maybe if I kept pressing the one spin one, it would’ve gone down.

Maybe making things easier would make it harder later…

“Well, it’s not like I can look into it, so it’s all speculation… Anyway, let’s just be glad there haven’t been any negative effects.”

And I guess from now on, I’m rolling the gacha when I reach level twenty-one.

My stats are getting pretty up there, so it might be relatively easy to level up by taking down stronger ones. Especially rare ones, since I guess I get a bonus from defeating them at a low level and level up a lot.

But if I’m aiming for that, I need to roll the gacha just before facing them, and leveling up to level twenty-one seems like a roundabout way to go about it.

…Maybe I should just prioritize hunting rare monsters. With these stats and skills, I feel like I would manage to take down whatever comes after a hobgoblin.

“Hey, you over there!”

“Hn?”

But as I decide my plan going forward, someone calls out to me again.
