After having enough of the scenery, I start moving.
I move a little further back from where the girls are focused on the waterfall, and give instructions to Enril.
“First, this mountain. Come back once you’re done looking.”
‘Popo.’
First, we look around the mountain we climbed with Vision Sharing II and Hawkeye II. The information is gradually updated on the map, but there are no red dots, and all I see on the top of the mountain is us, the customers we passed by, and some association employees.
“…Hn? What is this?”
But rather than red dots, I see multiple yellow dots I’ve never seen before. I’ve seen four colors on the map so far. Red for monsters, blue for friendlies, green for treasure chests, and white for other people.
There are yellow dots scattered around the mountain and forest, but they aren’t moving. There are none on the path we took, and since they are spread out, are they something other than living beings…?
Tapping them has no effect. I haven’t seen them in the course of this date but… If it’s what I’m thinking, I can guess what they are.
‘Popo.’
“Welcome back, Enril.”
I pet Enril after it returns, and give it its next instructions.
“Enril, there are yellow dots here, right? Can you check them out directly?”
‘Po!’
I share Enril’s vision again, and look for the source of the yellow dots. And what I see…
“It really is falling fruit.”
Tapping it on the map still does nothing. So yellow denotes fruit and items I can get in the dungeon, but the camera feature doesn’t work? Come to think of it, if I change it to the first floor, the camera feature works on fluff bugs and white dots, but not treasure chests. Does it only work on things that move out of their own will?
Also, there are no yellow dots on the mountain path where I got two falling fruits. Does that mean the trees aren’t included in the yellow dots, and it just indicates if there is fruit?
Thankfully, there is falling fruit not too far behind this area. It looks like a cliff based on what I see on the 3D map, so should I go there and have a look as I go to meet Enril?
“Aira.”
I say to her as she stands by next to me without saying a word, and she responds like she knows everything.
“Yes, take care.”
“Be right back.”
I come back ten minutes later.
“I’m back.”
“Welcome back.”
“Welcome back, master!”
“Ah, where did you go?”
“Geez, you really are restless.☆”
“I was looking into something. And brought some things with me.
I take five undamaged falling fruit from the bag.
“Older brother, did you get this from the forest…!?”
“Wow, you got so much!”
“Of course he did.”
As my little sister and the others are entranced, my fiancees come over. I’m sure Aira told them. They aren’t asking any questions about the yellow dots.
“So, did you learn anything?”
“Yes. The yellow dots are probably items we can take, and there’s probably no deeper meaning. Touching the dots has no reaction, probably because they’re not alive or something.”
“Hm. But you don’t look convinced, Shouta.”
“Anything on your mind?”
“It’s the fact that the yellow dots disappear the moment the fruit falls from the tree.”
“Hm? Not when you put it in a bag, the moment they’re pulled away? That is odd. And the ones they are holding aren’t showing any reaction either.”
“None.”
“It is strange.”
I think it’s like the moment they aren’t connected to the dungeon.
“So master, what next?”
“I want to investigate near the fourth floor and the waterfall too. But considering the size of the floor, those are the only two left. Let’s stay here and have Enril scout.”
“Understood.”
“Darling, I want to see Enril’s vision.”
“Then let’s watch together.”
I hold Ayane, and Maki sits on the ground.
“Then you can have my lap.”
“Ou, thanks.”
‘Pururu.’
‘~~♪’
Iris and Seren spread out like they want to be blankets. I hold Ayane like a hugging pillow, and Maki’s thighs are a pillow.
Hm, I might fall asleep if I’m not careful.
As I doze off, both the mountain that goes to the fourth floor and the area around the big waterfall are filled on the map. Sure enough, at the bottom of the lake directly under the waterfall, there is a giant red dot.
“So it really is there.”
“Oou, nice instincts Shouta.”
“That’s amazing Shouta.”
“Right on, darling!”
“But you’ve thought of it too, right Aki? It’s too wide open.”
“Hnfu. Now that you mention it, it’s not like I didn’t think that, but we came here knowing there weren’t monsters on this floor. We just can’t imagine it.”
“Is that so?”
Okay, now we know it’s there, but there’s another problem. How do we go there?
From here, it seems to be several hundreds of meters down. Rope, mountain climbing equipment, or Spatial Magic don’t seem realistic. Thinking about how it was so far, it would make sense for there to be a path.
Well, I could find it easily with Pocket Atlas, but that’s no fun. Let’s look for a path. First…
As I think that, Enril returns.
‘Popo!’
“Yes, welcome back. Sorry, I know you just came back, but can you go out again?”
‘Popo~? Popo, popo.’
“Nice.”
It asks for pets, and I pet around its face like I’m rubbing it. It lets out a voice like it likes it, and I send some magic energy while I’m at it.
I give a few instructions, and Enril flies towards the lake, and then straight down.
Kasumi and the others then come to me.
“Big brother, what are you doing?”
“Can you tell us too?☆”
“Hn, are you curious?”
““A lot!””
I peek at them, and it seems they’re all curious, not just these two.
Well, disclosing information about the map might be a good first step in building a relationship.
