The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 321 – Side Ahri – Part seven

I feel the cold potion bottle with my fingertips, and muster up my strength to open it.

I carefully bring it over to my mouth without spilling, and slowly tilt it.

The pain coming from the core of my body still makes me shake.

This shaking almost takes the potion bottle away from my mouth, so I let go of my spear and hold the bottle with both hands. A light sound echoes as the spear falls to the ground.

And finally, the potion touches my lips.

Some spills from the side of my mouth and falls to my chin.

After one gulp, the supposedly cold potion passes through my throat, leaving a refreshing feeling behind. As it settles inside me, I feel warmth spreading from the core to my entire body.

The strong, thickly concentrated magic elements run through my body in a flash like a field of flowers blooming.

“Ahh…”

The pain suddenly subsides, and I unconsciously breathe a sigh of relief, as the potion that ran down my chin starts dripping on the tip of my spear.

I’m in a daze for a moment, but I quickly wipe my mouth and close the bottle so as not to spill any more precious potion.

“Thank you, Master Rust.”

I put the closed potion bottle to my forehead, and mumble some words of gratitude to the emptiness around me.

I’m very lucky that Master Rust just happened to hand me this potion. And I have to be thankful for Master Rust’s great potions, because there isn’t a crack in my body even after that great fall.

I make a prayer gesture, and let out a small laugh at how strange that is, before putting the potion back in my pocket.

“Is this the effect that being saved has on people? It makes me understand a little more why Taula is a devout believer of Araysla…”

I pick up my spear.

“Oh?”

I feel something odd about the spear I’m so used to.
