What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 11 – The artificial intelligence’s first duel – Part two

“Try saying that again, Qualia. Are you saying victory over me is inevitable?”

Several of the scarlet birds began descending rapidly, aiming for Qualia’s defenseless head.

If they hit, Qualia would be caught in an explosion, and would be lucky to only end up severely burned.

“You can’t even use magic!! How are you going to fight against my Red Bird!? Look at it you failure!!”

Arrows yelled, terribly excited and with his eyes open so wide it seemed they would be sent flying.

But eventually, he noticed something strange, and looked up.

Although he gave the order, the Red Bird was not falling. His own magic was not listening to him.

He was wrong. In reality, holes were opened in the scarlet birds, and they disappeared one after the other.

Streaks of light pierced the birds forming the Red Bird, and the flames died out after losing their form.

Those streaks of light were being fired from the photon weapon Qualia was holding up.

Bang bang.

Qualia fired casually and according to his optimal solution, and each streak of light destroyed a bird.

As the crowd started murmuring, Arrows whispered.

“W-what is this…”

There was no answer from Qualia, as he kept shooting down the birds without missing a single shot.

Forty, thirty, twenty, ten… It was at that point that Arrows finally realized the abnormal situation unfolding in front of him.

“Dammit!!”

He raised his right hand, which he used to control magic, and made the Red Bird disperse.

Shock, confusion. Those two emotions seeped in as Arrows started to turn pale because he saw himself suddenly going from hunter to hunted.

Qualia on the other hand, was still just looking up, with no change in his expression.

“No revisions to estimation.”

Qualia’s streaks of light changed. The trajectory of the beams curved rather than being straight lines.

As a result, the birds that were supposedly dodging them were still hit.

“Impossible…”

The scarlet birds covering the sky were disappearing, but one lone bird glided towards Qualia from a blind spot.

The flaming feathers charged at Qualia with incredible speed.

Arrows’ mouth loosened into a grin, but it was quickly cooled off, as Qualia turned just the photon weapon behind him.

“Analyzing situation. Within estimated parameters.”

He could not see at all, but just by following his optimized solution, he could hit the beam perfectly without looking.

And so, the Red Bird disappeared from the square completely.

“Eek…!?”

Arrows shuddered, as Qualia finally turned his eyes to him.

He imagined a beam piercing his heart, but Qualia did not turn the photon weapon at him.

“Eliminating you with a beam carries uncertainty. Not right as means to incapacitate you.”

“Are you… Making fun of me!?”

Arrows charged forward with his sword enveloped with magic flames. He was like a big boar.

However, there was no doubt that Arrows’ blade covered in said flaming magic carried a deadlier force and killing potential than the Red Bird.

Qualia understood this, and casually transformed the photon weapon.

“Type SWORD.”

The muzzle turned into a handle, and a pale thin blade extended.

It was a beam sword meant to burn and cut. Ironically, it seemed cut from the same cloth as Arrows’ flaming sword.

“Daraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!”

The flaming sword and the beam sword met, but it did not lead to a situation where both locked swords and pushed.

Arrows’ blade was sent flying in the air, flames and everything.

“H-how…”

Arrows looked on in amazement, unable to understand what was unfolding before his eyes.

He followed his silver sword with his eyes from the moment it was melted at the base, to the moment it pierced the ground in front of him.

Qualia stood still next to Arrows, who was too preoccupied to even notice that.

“Agah!”

It ended the same as the previous day, including his inevitable defeat.

The difference was that this time, Qualia used the tube part of his photon weapon to strike his jaw.

“Enemy down. Confirming incapacitation of threat.”

Qualia kneeled, and checked the unconscious Arrows.

All vital activity was working to an acceptable degree.

The crowd murmured at the upset, as Qualia got visual confirmation of a relieved Ina doing the ‘tasty’ expression he expected.

“Task complete. Detecting ‘tasty’ expression.”

Qualia also made said ‘tasty’ expression, or rather, he smiled.
