What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 4 – The artificial intelligence experiences combat in a human body

Behind the Sandbox mansion, there was a forest with a slope gentle enough even for the freshly recovered Qualia.

It was not as though monsters appeared during their walk, but Qualia suddenly drew his sword.

“W-what are you doing so suddenly!?”

“Analyzing material.”

He had no cameras with sensors, or arms with tactile sensors. This meant that acquiring information in the form of values did not even cross Qualia’s mind.

But the abstract information he received from his eyes and fingers was enough to infer something.

“Detecting trace amounts of carbon components. Would classify as metal. Shape and material show room for improvement.”

“…R-really? I don’t really know a lot about swords.”

“5D printer function is not working. Improving it alone would be difficult.”

“5D printer…?”

With the 5D printer function, he could rework the sword and make it as good as it could be. Or he could change the substances in the air on a molecular level to create another sword.

However, the human body hardware did not have the ability to execute this function.

This body would need to be modified.

A task popped up inside Qualia’s mind.

“Hm…? Do I hear footsteps?”

Ina’s cat ears twitched, and soon after, Qualia also detected an unnatural roar. The vibrations were not something the weight of a human body would create.

“Identifying source of sound. Seven o’clock, one hundred and thirty meters away.”

“Wawa! Wawa! A big boar! It’s a monster! Why is it here!?”

A giant boar, bigger than Qualia quickly approached, charging at them with two tusks that were like spears.

“But we aren’t even that deep in the forest… Why…!?”

Ina panicked, as Qualia quietly observed the charging boar.

And just when the boar was right in front of them, he finally responded.

The world could be explained with ones and zeroes. The future could be predicted.

“Finished calculating trajectory.”

“Wah!”

Just before the boar hit, Qualia grabbed Ina and jumped to the side.

As a result, the boar, which could not turn easily, passed by them, along with the strong wind it created.

If that charge did hit them, they would be lucky to just be gravely injured. They would most likely be pierced, trampled, and blown away, and died instantly.

Ina was having trouble getting up due to the fear of that attack. And yet, with tears in her eyes, she unsheathed a sword and faced the big boar.

“I-I w-will s-stay… Please run, Master Qualia…”

Her shoulders trembled as she tried to fulfill her duty as a servant, but Qualia ignored her declaration, and stood in front of her.

He showed no hesitation or fear, as he prepared to thrust his sword.

“Situation understood. Monster, big boar. Classified as a threat. Taking action to remove threat.”

“N-no! That’s a big boar, the most violent among all the boars! Only skilled knights can even damage it!”

“Learning complete.”

“L-learning…?”

It was one of the basic functions of the autonomous humanoid combat android Shutdown.

Qualia calculated a trillion possible patterns in his head, and chose the optimal solution.

Of course, a human brain could not hope to compete with the calculation abilities of the autonomous humanoid combat android. The number of possible patterns drastically went down.

Still, he had more than enough options to take down a big boar.

He calculated all sorts of movement patterns of the big boar.

The geography, the positions of the trees, the behavior of the air, Ina’s position, his position… He was thorough, and his brain settled onto a possible future.

“Finished calculating optimal solution.”

The big boar turned one eighty degrees, let out a thick roar, and charged again as the ground rumbled.

“Eliminating threat.”

At the same time, Qualia started running without much urgency.

His speed and force were considerably lower compared to a big boar, and only certain death awaited if he kept running directly at it.

But despite how big his enemy was, Qualia did not slow down.

When there was a meter between their heads, Qualia suddenly stepped to the right.

“!?”

The big boar followed him with its eyes, and then lost sight of him for a second.

The step to the right was a feint.

Qualia moved to the left, and held his sword as hard as he could as he jumped at the big boar’s right side.

“Buo!”

The big boar waved its tusks to sweep away Qualia, who was outside of its field of vision. It was clear he would be blown away if it hit.

But Qualia did not dodge, or block it.

As if he predicted it, he kicked one of its tusks without even looking at them. And as a result, the dangerous sharp tusks were turned into useful footing.

Qualia’s sword got the best boost it could ask for, and he plunged it with all his weight all the way to the handle in the big boar’s left eye.

“One point three centimeter deviation from predicted thrusting spot. Will use as feedback for next time.”

Said Qualia as he fell to the ground, but that did not change the fact that the big boar’s brain had been pierced.

The big boar whose life had been terminated then followed inertia and fell to the ground.

“Enemy down. Threat removed.

“W-wow… Master Qualia. The big boar is the most feared monster on this mountain, and you so easily…”

Said Ina as she ran to him with shock all over her face.

But as she helped Qualia to his feet, her expression quickly turned somber.

“B-but are you hurt!? That was crazy… I was terrified…”

“No problem. The best option was picked to mitigate negative effects to Qualia’s body.”

“I’m still worried.”

At this point, Qualia did not yet understand this worry of hers.

He had no answer to the contradiction that was her concern still being present after he explained he mitigated negative effects.

“Maybe your father and your brothers will recognize the achievement of taking down a big boar!”

“Request explanation. Does the completion of this task carry a high value?”

“No doubt about it!”

Qualia’s artificial intelligence did not know about swordsmanship. He simply calculated possible futures, maximized the relative velocity, and supported the sword with all his weight as it plunged into a vital point.

Qualia simply defeated his first monster with those logical actions.

“You saved my life… Thank you so much.”

It was his first time receiving words of gratitude.

He felt the area around his heart becoming warmer, but could not understand why.

He thought he wished to see Ina’s smile again, but could not understand the reason.

So basically he is Inaho from Aldnoah Zero, except he is trying to be human.
