What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 42 – The artificial intelligence finds an ancient magic stone

“This… This…”

Mind threw all of his deadly poisons at an incoming Qualia.

He even bathed Qualia with a full course of combinations of poisons that caused an instant death.

“No prediction revisions.”

But it was all in vain, as Qualia had learned it all.

After using all of his tricks, all Mind could do was fall to his knees with a bitter smile on his face.

“…Dammit, how is this fair?”

Eventually, there was no distance between them, and there was no sign either in Qualia’s behavior or expression that he was suffering symptoms from the poisons.

At this point, Mind had accepted that Qualia had completely conquered his poisons.

With a bitter expression on his face, he raised his hands and admitted defeat.

“…I guess this is it.”

“Analyzing situation. Your degree of trust is high, but it has been determined that measures to neutralize you are needed. Qualia will create handcuffs with the 5D printer and bind your hands.”

“Oh, you’re not making me pass out? How kind of you… But am I going back to life in the garbage dump, or am I going to be made to kill civilians in a ‘reasonable’ way again?”

“Request explanation. What is a job of being made to kill civilians reasonably?”

“When humans are having trouble managing towns and villages they control, they kill everyone. And poison is useful for that… Apparently the only people in the army that use poison are ones that enjoy massacring people.”

His voice sounded hopeless.

But just as Qualia was about to report on its lack of ‘tasty’, his sensors detected multiple footsteps.

“New threats detected.”

Qualia looked up, and saw two beast people jumping from a roof to the street.

Their weapons contrasted well against the blue sky.

“Did he see us!?”

“Don’t care, get him!!”

The time it took them to get from the roof to the ground was more than enough for Qualia to perform his calculations.

“Revising optimal solution. Type SWORD.”

When they landed, their weapons had already been cut away through the heat of the beam.

And right after they let out surprised sounds, the handle of the photon weapon shook their brains and neutralized them.

However, to Qualia, one thing deviated from his calculations.

“Sorry… But I can’t let you capture me!”

Mind, who seemed to have given up, escaped.

And since he ran faster, Qualia could not chase him.

“Type GUN.”

Shooting his leg with a beam was the optimal solution.

“…Error.”

But for some reason, he did not go through with it. He had the photon weapon aimed and ready, but did not pull the trigger.

“…Revising priority. There is a great need to understand the ‘work’ mind designated to the beast people.”

Contrary to the lower area, which was overflowing with information about the battle that was still raging on, the upper area was quiet to a strange degree.

Qualia recognized it as a sign of a danger that could take away many ‘tasty’.

He headed deeper, and saw it in the back of an unassuming small path.

A jet black rock that seemed to be sucking away all light, as though it was pulling apart the world itself, caught his attention.

“Detected unusual value.”

Qualia attached a great deal of importance to the feeling being transmitted through his skin from the point of view of magic and magic energy.

The fastest way to feel a magical phenomenon was by feeling the small amount of magic energy that leaked. Before magic energy turned into magic, it could not only be seen, but also felt through the skin. Any human could do this.

But in Qualia’s case, he simply mechanically focused all his senses and increased his sensibility.

Still, he detected a pattern of magic energy he had not felt before.

Even without any prior information, he knew that just touching it would lead to a lot of damage, so he analyzed it only with his eyes.

The first thing he noticed was that the overflowing magic energy was intensifying with each passing moment.

It felt like a time bomb.

“Don’t touch that!!”

“Lobelia and Spirito detected.”

Qualia looked away from the jet black rock, and towards the two princesses who ran towards him, feeling different than usual.

“…If you’re up here, it means you’ve noticed the real plot being covered by that violence, right?”

“Request explanation. Is the real danger in the upper area, as Qualia assumed?”

“Risk!? It’s more like a big meteorite is about to fall on the capital!”

As Spirito proposed this outrageous comparison, Lobelia stood in front of her and held a paper tightly.

This piece of paper was labeled a letter, and Qualia saw a word he did not recognize on it, anonymous.

“…This is called an ancient magic stone, and it’s something that’s been designated and treated as a top class dangerous item.”

Lobelia’s face lacked her usual calm and composure.

An ancient magic stone was a lump of magic energy found only in the lower floors of a dungeon.

It was distorted magic energy of the dungeon, crystallized over hundreds of millions of years.

It was a forbidden item that could be a trump card that would end a war in a second, or cut a notch into a civilization, but sometimes, it could be a country destroying nightmare.

“…And this one is called black Hole. As the name implies, it produces super gravity and creates a fake black hole. If this is activated, it will at the very least erase the capital without a trace!”

Black Hole was registered in Qualia’s memory. After all, the autonomous humanoid combat android Shutdown had a function to produce black holes.

Also, Shutdown’s hardware was a mechanism that allowed it to withstand black holes.

That was why he understood. The activation of a black hole would blow away the country, let alone the capital.

And he also understood that his 5D printer could not produce black holes, and his human body could not withstand one either.
