What if an artificial intelligence reincarnated in an underperformer’s body in another world? ~The result is super technology that will surpass anything in that world of magic – Chapter 51 – The artificial intelligence attempts to change back from a human to a weapon

“Ga… Aaah…”

Qualia’s groans echoed in his room, as the 5D printer in his right hand expanded with explosive force and made his flesh creak.

But if his ‘project return to Shutdown’ were to succeed, it would have to start with strengthening the functions of his 5D printer.

His 5D printer was only working at twenty percent of its potential, and he needed to get it closer to its full specs, even if just a little.

This was needed to create a certain material that composed the autonomous humanoid combat android Shutdown.

“…Requesting test of world parts. Activating 5D printer function.”

Light was emitted from Qualia’s right hand, creating something with a square shape. But the very next moment, it moved to his left hand.

“Teleportation phenomenon successful. Judging it as a success.”

World parts. Materials that followed not just regular laws of physics, but also different laws, such as quantum mechanics.

Humanity never achieved it, and it was high tech even for artificial intelligence.

What artificial intelligence achieved with this was difficult to even describe.

Instant transportation called teleportation.

A phenomenon called superposition that manifested copies of one unit.

Quantization, which allowed one to change from its body into waves.

Control over one’s own time.

Control over atoms and particles, with an immeasurable amount of uses.

And above all else, the worst kind of photon, which could gobble up a planet if not used correctly. The annihilation photon commonly known as stream.

Once, a stream was fired from a photon weapon at a space battleship shaped weapon the size of a planet, and destroyed a nearby planet along with it.

Finally, the world parts that made that a reality could be produced in this different world, although not yet perfectly.

And finally, the reason why Shutdown was once known as the most destructive weapon, had been summoned.

Of course, world parts alone could not cause these incredible phenomenons. A brain that could control quantum mechanics and other such laws was needed.

It needed an artificial intelligence that used world parts in its hardware, but Qualia also cleared that barrier.

“Created core to control Qualia’s return to Shutdown mechanism. Installing.”

The calculations of the flow of his return were done, and Shutdown’s blueprints were still in his memory, carried over from his original world.

The activation sequence of the return mechanism to be installed near his heart went as follows.

He imprinted Shutdown’s blueprints into the mechanism beforehand, and would use them as he overwrote his whole body with world parts. But if he rewrote his body in that manner, there was a very high chance that his vital activity could not be maintained. That was a fatal error.

But that was where superposition, one of the properties of world parts, came in.

Superposition allowed more than two to exist in the same world at the same time. By using this, both a human Qualia and a Shutdown Qualia could exist.

If he could be converted to Shutdown without any issues, he could simply discard the human Qualia.

This was the gist of ‘project return to Shutdown’.

He would abandon the human body that was full of drawbacks so he could fully fulfill his role to create ‘tasty’.

He would be able to make everyone smile.

But for some reason, Qualia himself was unable to smile.

“Prototype complete.”

The fist sized black sphere, the return mechanism, was finally complete, and he placed it on the left side of his chest.

“Initiating installation of return mechanism.”

The light of the 5D printer shined on the return mechanism and his chest.

It rippled through the skin and flesh, as the mechanism seemed to turn into a liquid, and sunk into his chest.

“Agah…”

The feeling that resembled his stomach being compressed by a vise almost made him expel its contents.

His lungs were being constricted on a nano level, making them lose their oxygen.

There were irregularities in every beat of his heart, as though it was being reduced to a single particle.

An intense pain that resembled being struck by lightning coursed through his body, but he continued with the installation.

“…Installation… Complete…”

After finishing taking in the return mechanism, he noticed his whole body was covered in a thick liquid. It was blood oozing from the broken skin and veins.

But he did not expect this to stop his vital activity, and although there was a calculation error in the blood leaking out, it was not beyond his expectations.

There was no problem. No abnormalities. It was a prototype anyway.

It was fine if he failed as many times as he needed.

Machine learning was never just about successes, it was about piling on failures as well.

They were calculations being done to make sure the real deal, when human ‘tasty’ was lost, did not end in failure.

But if this prototype was a success, Qualia could get his hands on the strongest hardware. He could fully do his job as a member of the guard knight chivalric order, Hello World.

He could quit being human.

“Type SHUTDOWN.”

The return mechanism near his heart began to glow with a red color.

“Return.”

‘Project return to Shutdown’ was complete.

He only needed to stimulate the mechanism with his 5D printer…

“Master Qualia?”

A girl stood from the other side of the open door.

Qualia stopped his right hand, and turned her way.

“Ina detected.

“…What happened… That blood…”

Ina returned from the shelter, and found Qualia not only covered in blood, but also attempting to modify his body.

Needless to say, there was no ‘tasty’ to be found on her face.

Why did she accompany Qualia to the capital in the first place?

What role did she take on? Qualia once said…

“Request that you monitor Qualia, and see if there are any abnormalities in Qualia’s ‘heart’.”

That time had come.
