Walking in another world – Chapter 753 – Avid dungeon – Part twenty-two

One tartaruga is down, but the fight isn’t over yet. Argo’s party is still fighting.

I run towards them with that in mind, and the tartaruga is flipped over.

“What is…?”

“It’s what it looks like. It’s the best way to target their stomachs, right?”

True, but… We actually worked towards that too.

“How did you do it?”

That’s what I’m curious about.

“We did what we could to annoy it. They’re tough, but if you focus on the same spot, you’ll damage them. And once this one hid in its shell, we took advantage of the opportunity to flip it.”

So it was pure strength? Actually, well done.

“Wasn’t it heavy?”

Asks Hikari, speaking for everyone.

“It was. We had to all do it in one go.”

“It’d be dangerous if we were attacked then.”

Says Argo while looking into the distance as if remembering it, and Guilford looks tired.

“We can’t do that again.”

“Yes, let’s leave it to Sora.”

Rick whispers, Clift nods, and Harold smiles awkwardly.

I feel like I caught a glimpse of the power of A rank adventurers.

Maybe people who hunted tartarugas in the past did the same thing.

“Maybe we should report to the guild that they can be lifted if you try hard enough.”

“Will they believe it?”

“Don’t you think Herc and the others could do it?”

Say Argo and Guilford, and yes, dwarves are strong, and their group had a lot of them.

It should be possible if you have enough people. After all, the five members of Argo’s party did it.

Also, since tartaruga materials are used to make precious equipment, there might be more people hunting them.

“But I think we need at least nine, right? Do you want to keep hunting them after we rest? And I think it’s best to lure them one at a time.”

I very much agree with Argo.

We were trying to do that this time too, but ended up fighting two of them.

The Provoke skill didn’t work for some reason, and after an hour of waiting to see if one would take the bait, we jumped into combat.

“…There aren’t any around, so should we take these apart?”

“Yes, let’s.”

Hikari gives Argo a big nod.

I use Earth Magic to make them lean, and drain blood from the legs that end up on the bottom.

What’s strange is that the skin that was hard when we fought is now soft. That helps when it comes to taking them apart, but not so much in terms of using it for equipment.

That said, when I say soft, I mean to the level where a mithril knife I use to take monsters apart can get through. It’s still tough, just not that much compared to how it was.

As we wait for the blood to drain, some rest, I look for enemies with my skills, and Chris, Mia, and Hikari keep watch.

“Any, master?”

“There are some near what I think is a lake.”

They seem to be underwater. I’m really glad I have Map.

When they’re in the water, their presences are sometimes faint, and Presence Detection and Magic Energy Detection don’t react to them.

“Turtles?”

“Look like it.”

“Other monsters?”

“There are nelshas on the shore on the other side.”

It looks like nelshas come out of the lake to rest.

They inhabit the same lake, but look to keep themselves to themselves.

“The cat ones?”

“Yes. I don’t want to fight them together if I don’t have to.”

“I’m not good with turtles, so I wanna fight cats!”

It’s hard to damage a monster with high physical defense with a dagger. Even Projectile Slash did no damage.

“The blood is done draining, Hikari.”

Says Sera.

“I’ll take over keeping watch.”

“Okay.”

Hikari skips her way towards Chris.

She’s going to take apart the turtles under Chris’ guidance.

I’m sure I’ll be having new meat for dinner tonight.

“Rest too Sora. You’ll be busy when it’s time to fight.”

“The same goes for you, Sera. In fact, you all are in more danger than me.”

I’ll be more about setting traps, so the danger is low. As opposed to Sera and the others who will fight them directly, and will be more worn down because of it.

Tartarugas aren’t nimble, but they are imposing when you face them. They’re strong too, to the point where one attack could be fatal. You can’t let your guard down with them.

“That’s not true, I just have to guide the enemy in front of me. Easy. It’s too bad I can’t take them down myself.”

Sera clenches her fists with frustration.

It’s not to the level of Hikari and Rurika, but she likes to fight. It might be in her blood.

And does she also hate to lose?

“Then I’ll walk around here for a bit. That’s more relaxing to me.”

“Okay.”

Says Sera with a smile.

Maybe it’s an awkward smile for her. Maybe an exasperated one.

I walk while using Map, and think about ways to take down tartarugas.

Skill and magic attacks are nullified, but not from below to the stomach. Then would wall attacks work?

But that’s not really an attack, it’s more like a way to stall or protect.

“I guess flipping them over with an earth wall really might be the best way.”

It’s safe and reliable. But considering how many we’re hunting, should we ignore the materials and have Chris use spirit magic once?

I want to see if it can block the firepower of spirit magic.
