Adventurers are very happy about the return of fever time. They thank me as we head towards the staircase to the fifth floor. We have no more business here, and the fifth floor is our real goal. From what I’ve heard, the campsite there is small, but it’s possible to camp there.
Also, since fever time ended for a bit, the adventurers that had spread into the fifth floor looking for goblins left. If we’re looking for a campsite, now’s the time.
“So this is the fifth floor.”
“Yes, the final one.”
“Aira, can you check the dungeon marker?”
“Yes. It seems this really is the final floor. It only shows the white needle.”
The entrance here is on a kind of tall hill, so we can get a good view from here.
There’s a big mountain directly ahead, a lush forest to the left, and a river and plain to the right.
Apparently the fifth floor is made up of three fields I’ve experienced in this dungeon so far.
“This is like a big compilation of what came before.”
“Yes. But there aren’t snakes. Maybe. There aren’t, right?”
“Yes, there are no… snakes.”
Phew. I’ve had enough of that evil eye.
I couldn’t help but notice the way she said that, but we’ll check that sort of thing gradually…
“…Hm.”
I can’t see monsters on the mountain or forest, but I see them moving around on the plain to the right.
“So there are goblins here too, right?”
“Yes. The plain is the goblin area, with an ecosystem close to the fourth floor. But not many people hunt here.”
“Meaning?”
“Shouta, how many goblins do you see from there?”
“Two, four, six… I see, so each settlement has twelve, or the scale is large.”
Some of them aren’t carrying the weapons they had on the fourth floor. That means their designation and skills are different. So they have different skills and classifications, and form groups more than twice the number, meaning it wouldn’t be safe to hunt here.
This is especially true if those groups have archers. Archery is on par with Swordsmanship, so it’s hard to imagine there are dozens of them with that skill, but maybe there are ones with a skill close to Sword Knowledge. If there are goblins that attack from a long distance among ones that just charge ahead, it makes the difficulty spike.
It makes sense that people avoid them.
“…Hm, now you’re gettin’ the problem here. I’d just add that their stats dropped by twenty percent because of the fever, so I heard reports of teams getting together to hunt them. I heard of these teams taking down Dread Boar and Berg Bear.”
“Eh, those two…”
“It was your friend who got these teams together, master.”
“Shuu?”
They nod.
I see, he did that… That means it was probably him who led the adventurers who set up tents in this campsite. Maybe he was being considerate. I’ll contact him later and check.
But wouldn’t it get a little complicated if it was someone else? Then again, would anyone go out of their way to come here when there’s an S rank around?
“So darling, what are we doing today? Hunting goblins?”
“…No, let’s stop for today. It’s a little early, but we have to prepare for tomorrow. We need to sort out the items too…”
Thinking about the amount of items makes me grimace.
Compressing skills, and dealing with the magic iron equipment the goblins wore. With the Magic Iron Processing skill, I now have the power to turn that equipment back into ingots, which have more uses than just selling. When I hit a dead end making the girls’ accessories, it was a useful distraction.
The biggest use is Iron Sand Control. When the ingots are turned into specks small enough to be called iron sand, they can be controlled by Enki’s power. It can use them in its body, so we can keep it as spares for when Enki’s body is scraped, and it can use it to attack.
It just leveled up to Lv2, so it can now use more at once, and I figure I should also keep more.
“Wawah. A-a house came out!?”
As I think about all that, Kasumi is bewildered as she sees Aira take out the house. Aira then briskly sets up a tent next to it. The speed and skill with which she does this really is incredible.
“I apologize Miss Kasumi, but please use this tent.”
“…Isn’t that my tent?”
“Yours, big brother!?”
“Yes. I had a look when Miss Kasumi handed me her things, but your tent was very small. Ours is too big, so I thought this was a perfect fit.”
“That’s fine. Are you okay with my hand-me-down, Kasumi?”
“Your tent…”
Can she not hear me? She’s just mumbling that it’s my tent. Is that a problem?
The others are just silently watching too…
“Kasumi?”
“Ah, yes! It’s fine!”
“Yes? If you have a problem, you can say it. You can at the very least take a shower in the house.”
“You have a shower? You really have everything…”
“We’ll call you when it’s time to eat, so take it easy.”
“Yes! Later!”
We move to the house, and Kasumi to the tent.
Well then, let’s sort out the skills and roll the gacha.
