“I have confirmed your position. Two o’clock from there.”
Marcos kept it simple as he responded.
Setsuna turned as he said, found him following the suspicious person, and squinted.
“Can you hit him?”
“The distance isn’t a problem. And at that speed, I can hit what he’s holding even if he moves.”
“All right. Then I will stop him. Target it then.”
“Thank you. Then do it in fifteen seconds.”
Setsuna calculated the necessary time to knead magic energy and focus her vitality and concentration, as well as the perfect spot from that position, and Marcos confirmed it.
Yuugo gulped, and as the fifteen seconds felt long, the time came.
“Now, Marcos.”
Marcos heard her and stepped up.
He walked faster for a few steps, not too fast and without getting too close, and spoke with a natural tone.
“Excuse me, you dropped something from your pocket.”
“!?”
The man heard Marcos, twitched, and was visibly shaken.
He immediately put his hand in his pocket to check if the communication device was there, and Setsuna had a warm smile on her face as she pulled the string and took aim.
“More than enough, Marcos. I won’t miss from this distance…!”
Distance, obstacles, timing, it was all as planned.
The man holding the birdcage only stopped for a few seconds, but that was enough for Setsuna.
The wind arrow created by her magic energy had its tip facing what the man carried.
She intensified her magic energy, and pulled the string as far back as she could, waiting for the best timing to let go, but…
“Found you, underling of that criminal organization!!”
“Wha!?”
Just as Setsuna was about to let go, a boy came between her and her target.
He yelled at the man and pointed a spear.
“I know you’re a part of that organization! Show me what you’re carrying!”
“Is that Shian!? What is he doing!?”
Shian seemed elated as he challenged the man, and pointed with his spear at what he carried.
The man’s expression changed because of this sudden intrusion, and Marcos saw him grabbing the communications device in his pocket.
“Setsuna! Attack now!!”
“No! I can’t aim with them there…!!”
Just a few more seconds and she could have used wind to get Shian and the others out of the way, and then hit the thing the man carried.
But it was all too sudden. She was so focused, that she could not prepare another one immediately.
“Boss! A weird kid found us out! He’s telling me to show this to him!”
The carrier used the communications device to report to Regen.
Right after, what he held was ripped, and many ruffians emerged with Regen in his monster armor beast form.
“Tch! It’s a little early, but… fine. All of you! Go nuts!”
“Uoooh!”
“There you are, villains! We’re your opponents!!”
Shian completely destroyed the guards’ plan to prevent this incident, and acted as though he was completely unaware.
He boldly proclaimed that like a hero, and faced off against the villains with Wars and Trin.
“Jinba, the plan failed! Evacuate everyone quickly!”
The festival turned into a picture of hell in an instant, and people were getting involved in the sudden battle.
Guards rushed in and began helping people who had trouble getting away, and Yuugo infused his legs with magic energy to jump to the roof and down to the center of the fighting.
“Henshin!!”
His eyes were on a ruffian attempting to kill a father to take his child.
He infused Blaster with magic energy as he put out his right leg and delivered an intense kick to the side of his face, before he landed.
“Hurry up and get away! Take the child!!”
He then hit another ruffian, and bound another one’s arms behind his back as he tried to go after a child, and yelled.
He threw him and punched him, but the moment another one tried to attack a parent and child, a golden shield protected them.
“You will not harm innocent people in the presence of Marcos Bolg!”
“Nuoah!?”
After blocking the attack with his shield, he grabbed the ruffian with his scissors and swung widely.
The man was let go, hit a wall, and fell limp.
“Thanks Marcos!”
“Jumping from that height. You always do the craziest things!”
They continued helping people who were late in getting away, and beat back those trying to attack them.
But Regen had more underlings than they expected, and the number did not easily go down.
“Dammit! We could have taken the upper hand and freed the hostages if they didn’t get in the way…!!”
Marcos was frustrated because the plan failed a step away from success, and glared at the ones responsible.
There was no time to mind them, but he would complain once that was over, he thought as the trio that ruined everything and exposed people to danger panicked because things went according to plan, but not their expectations.
