Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 369 – Cause of the chill

Wenkamui reigns as a dungeon boss. The inexplicable chill I feel confuses me, but it looks like I’m the only one feeling it. Even the battle-hardened Aira doesn’t seem to feel it.

It stands tall and continues to glare at us, showing no sign of moving. And so people start talking, probably to ease the tension.

“Everyone, let’s be careful.”

“It’s a big bear.”

‘Popo~.’

“What is with that bear monster…!”

“Eek, looks strong…”

“Miss Haru, it seems not like an opponent we can face.”

“…Yes. We should let them handle it, right leader?”

“Yes. Good luck, big brother…!”

‘Zoh, zozozoh…!!’

There is no change to the pressure it exudes, but something unseen rings alarm bells. Normally chatting is something necessary to increase morale. I don’t have a problem with that, but like the bees, there’s a chance some sort of action will turn this into a minefield, and we have to figure out what it is or we’ll be in trouble!

“Everyone, quiet!!”

I raise my index finger, motioning for them to stop talking.

They all look away from the Wenkamui, and feel I’m flustered.

‘…’

It’s still not moving.

They were chatting quietly, but I spoke loudly. Will it respond to that and move?

“True Appraisal… No?”

I check its stats again, and see no changes. But at the same time, I have a strong feeling that something isn’t right. So if I feel something is wrong with the stats, does that mean the origin of the chill is in its stats?

This feeling that something isn’t right turns into suspicion, and then into certainty. And I come up with a plan to solve it.

“I know! Eye of Truth! True Appraisal!”

“…Haha, I see.”

The chill most likely came from the +60% boost to its stats.

There were three chills, and they happened when the girls said the word bear. So does it get a twenty percent boost every time the word is said?

It’s like this. Appraisal Camouflage hid two important skills. Mountain God’s Wrath means a keyword boosts its stats, and Presence Camouflage hides the change… And since Aira and the others can see it and feel nothing unusual, Appraisal Obstruction must not be working. It doesn’t hide most skills, and makes it feel like nothing is being hidden.

If one thought everything was visible and attacked, that would lead to a painful result. This damn bear is a real tactician…!

“…Apparently just thinking it doesn’t trigger a response.”

The tongue is the root of calamities.

I remember hearing that some gods don’t like their names being said. The bees were like this too, so there are monsters with traps. I’ll have to be careful.

“Everyone, listen. Don’t say the four letter word that describes its zoology. It has a troublesome skill that means every time you say it, another twenty percent is added to its stats. Also, it has two skills to hide it, Appraisal Camouflage and Presence Camouflage. Even if you haven’t heard of these skills, you can tell what they do by the names. You can think it, but just don’t say it, okay?”

Everyone nods, and Renka and the ones who have something in mind press their mouths.

If those stats are real, this might be really tricky…

“Enki, its Physical Strength is 4480. Can you do it?”

‘Goh!!’

“Okay, then let’s go!”

I run, Enki, Iris, and Seren let out battle cries, and the Wenkamui moves out like it sees us as enemies because we’re approaching.

‘Vuooo!!’

“Adamantine Armor III!”

Clink!

“Next, Flash Strike!!”

‘Gogo!!’

The golden wall repels the claw being swung down, and I use Flash Strike as it loses its balance, followed by an iron fist attack by Enki.

‘Vo, vuooo!!’

“It didn’t do much!”

‘Gogogo!’

The first slash hit beautifully, but it has a Constitution of 4160 and four skills that affect it. There’s blood, but doesn’t seem to have done much damage. In fact, it seems to have only made it angry.

But I see another opening as it faces Enki, and its anger doesn’t seem to affect the stats. It’s an automatic skill in response to the name, not a skill controlled by emotions. This would be desperate if it could become stronger through other ways, but if it’s like this, I think we can get over it somehow.
