About the case of destruction flags being demolished after a nichiasa loving otaku was reincarnated as a villainous student – Chapter 21 – The curtain rises to the next disturbance

“You really are amazing, big brother. You can fight so well with that old model armor type magic item. Weapon types have higher output, and they’re more versatile.”

“It’s because you did such a good job adjusting it, Phi. And I think it suits my nature more to fight with punches and kicks than with a sword.”

“Suits your nature? That’s such a shallow reason…”

Phi smiled awkwardly at his big brother’s words, but as he remembered that his brother actually looked more lively after having the Garandil he used for so long taken away, he decided not to say any more.

A few days had passed since the incident with the monster armor beasts during the patrol duty in the Marmint Road, and Yuugo seemed to be flourishing even more than before, in various ways.

Phi liked his brother just as much before and after the memory loss, but he also knew that people around them were finding him much more charming.

Yuugo did have a rough side to him, before he lost to his classmate called Zenon. Phi had also heard that he rested on the laurels of the abilities of his Garandil and neglected his training, and worried about that.

But as he watched his brother now, that seemed unthinkable.

He defeated the monster armor beasts with Blaster, an old model magic item, controlled his magic energy magnificently, and even demonstrated a great ability to hit vital points. Phi’s brother was the picture of a warrior who trained his body and mind alike.

As for his personality, as far as Phi was concerned, he was always like that, so it was nothing surprising to him.

(He might have been hiding his real power. Maybe he even lost that duel on purpose…)

Maybe Yuugo wanted to rid himself of the troublesome spot of being the eldest son of a noted family.

He had a lot of enemies, both at home and outside. Maybe he was tired of that life… Thought Phi, trying to put himself in his brother’s place.

Thinking back, even though his brother was disowned, he did not seem all too sad about it.

He lamented about having nothing to fill his stomach, but the scale of his sadness was way too small, considering he lost the right to inherit the seat of leader of a noted family.

Somewhere in his heart, his brother sought freedom. His rough personality was probably also a consequence of the irritation and distress of being bound by his family. Thought Phi.

After being released from all those annoying things related to his family and losing his memory, it was like the real Yuugo that was sleeping deep inside him resurfaced.

Phi even wondered if his brother pretended to neglect his training so their father saw him as a prodigy.

All that contradicted what his brother said about making him his right hand man after he took over the family, but Phi cared little about that.

His big brother was celebrating life and flourishing. As his little brother, Phi could not be happier about that.

He wanted that streak to continue, and for his brother to keep doing what was making people see him as a hero. And as he held that innocent wish in his heart, a shadow was cast on the table where he was sitting, followed by a voice.

“Yuugo… Sorry, do you have a moment?”

“Ou, Melt… You don’t look good. Did something happen?”

“I just have a bit of a problem… You’re involved too, so I wanted to talk about it now that I have the chance…”

“Me? Why? What do you mean?”

Yuugo was worried about one of his few friends (actually, only friend) not looking well, and when he asked what was wrong, he received an answer he was not expecting.

He wondered just what happened, and how it involved him, as a question mark popped up on top of his head.

“Found you, Melt Epee! And you’re with Yuugo Clay too! Perfect!”

“Hn? What…?”

Yuugo heard the sound of heavy footsteps, and looked behind Melt, to find a group of five to ten students walking towards them.

Leading them was a male student, with blonde hair and a stern look on his face. Yuugo was convinced that some nonsense was about to fall on him again.

And his expectations were not betrayed. That student pushed Melt out of the way, and made a loud noise as he smacked the table with both hands. And with an angry fire in his eyes, he looked at Yuugo and roared.

“Yuugo Clay! Let Melt go this instant!”

Huh, so according to Phil, his brother personality largely remained the same. So the original Yuugo had always treat his brother kindly unlike the way he treat and react to other people ?!? Perhaps in the game, the original Yuugo decided to sacrifice Phi to the Demon because he’s at his lowest, lose his rationality, became crazy for power to outshine the original protagonist and the Demon end up asking the most precious thing to him as the price for power. Heck, despite the extreme hate, the reason seem to be his violence outburst, arrogant behavior, missused his status and position, I don’t think it’s the extreme hatred is justify.
