“Don’t underestimate me! Damn brats!! I’m gonna crush you all!!”
Zaraki yelled as he set the loong he created on them, and got ready to counter Yuugo and the others.
Melt and Setsuna, and Angel and Sakura took on a loong each, and as they started fighting, Yuugo, Ryuuga, and Marcos attacked Zaraki.
“Take this! Drill Arm!!”
“Nuuh!?”
Yuugo dashed into a jump, and punched Zaraki as his left arm turned into a drill.
Zaraki was more careful as he heard the spinning sound echo and saw the drill, and got ready to defend, but Marcos took advantage of that opening to move close and grab one of his arms with his scissors, throwing off Zaraki’s posture.
“You’re wide open down there. It’s the third time!”
“You impudent!”
Zaraki looked at Marcos with hatred, as he broke his defense by grabbing one arm and provoked him.
Still, the other arm blocked the drill arm, and was about to swing to blow Yuugo away, but…
“Hehe…! Sorry, but I’m not the main attack!”
“Wha…!?”
One arm was caught by scissors and another defended, leading to a slash running through Zaraki’s completely exposed torso.
Ryuuga’s attack that used Yuugo as bait ripped through Zaraki, and the dropkick that followed sent him flying far back.
“Nice combo. It led to an easy attack.”
“Attacking in waves like that without any planning really shows our teamwork is something else.”
“Screw you! I’m gonna kill you!!”
Zaraki was wounded by the Loong King Fang, but his anger overwrote his pain as he began to counterattack.
He spread his arms widely and enveloped them in a raging gale, and swung them in wind lariats.
“Uraaaaaah! Raaaaaaaaaah!!”
“Yuugo! Ryuuga! Behind me!!”
Zaraki unleashed the gale with his full power as he howled, but it did not have the same power as before.
Marcos stepped up and held his shield to block it, and the gale died down after only pushing him back a little.
Zaraki was open after a big move, and could not immediately transition into something else.
Yuugo and Ryuuga did not overlook this, and used Marcos’ shoulders as footing to leap towards their enemy.
“Blasteeeeer…!!”
“Tempest Loong Sword, Wind Form…!”
“Uuh!?”
Yuugo prepared for a dropkick with the magic energy infused into his right leg shining crimson.
Ryuuga held his katana with both hands as he enveloped it in lightning, and swung with the momentum as he fell.
“Kiiiick!!”
“Shadow Lightning Flaming Slash!”
Zaraki thought about how to somehow dodge as he saw them, but both attacks hit his defenseless body before he could move in any significant way.
The dropkick infused with magic energy and slash infused with lightning hit at the same time, and the impact that went above what he expected made Zaraki scream with pain.
“Guaaaaah!! Gah, gaha! Guooooooo…!! Why!? How can you…!?”
Zaraki ate loong meat, gained that power, and was supposed to have surpassed humans.
He accepted Koumaru’s proposal and took that power to further heights, which supposedly drew a line between him and the closest people to loong.
Why was he being cornered so much?
They were not trained guards or Yamato soldiers, so why were newbie magic knight trainees giving him such a hard time?
“I’ll tell you why, Zaraki!”
“!?!?!?”
Yuugo heard Zaraki’s groans, and raised his fist while yelling.
Zaraki blocked the attack and clenched his fist to counter, but a golden shield stopped him.
“Zaraki! That power you gained wasn’t something you got for yourself! Both the loong power and the jewel that boosted it were things given to you!!”
Marcos blocked Zaraki’s fist, and repelled it at just the right time.
The parry that he must have practiced a lot created an opening, and Ryuuga slashed while howling.
“And you’re alone! You don’t have friends who truly believe in you and will extend a hand when you stray off the right path! You’re empty, Zaraki!!”
“Nuaaaaaaah!!”
The katana sweep sprayed flesh blood, as Zaraki yelled with pain.
Zaraki said nothing in response to the two of them, being cornered physically and emotionally as Yuugo clenched his left fist and continued.
“Heroes don’t fight alone. They fight alongside others with people supporting them from behind, who believe in them no matter what… That’s how they can push past the limits.
Hero condition number five, join hands with your friends and be someone who fights with them. We’d never lose against someone who’s alone and throwing around fake power!”
“Gah, ahh…!”
An abnormal amount of power was transmitted through the fist.
Yuugo’s punch had such force that one would never know he was between life and death not too long before, and Zaraki lost consciousness for a second as he was blown back and groaned.
What they said rejected everything Zaraki was about, and that combined with their power made him feel irritation, fear, and a sense that he was losing as he raised his head and blood came out as he yelled.
“Loong! Kill those girls quickly! Help me!!”
If the loong he created were to join him, this situation could be reversed.
That was the idea as he called the wind and water loong, but they were also having trouble as they faced off against the girls.
