“Dammit!! Again, again…! The scenario is getting weird!!”
Late at night, in the same empty classroom as always, reincarnated students talked about how the story developed in a way they did not expect.
Shian could not hide his displeasure, and hit a desk out of irritation, as the others flinched a little.
But they pretty much felt the same way, anxious and irritated because the story lines kept developing in a way they did not want.
“What happened? Why did Ryuuga go after Zaraki instead of Koumaru?”
“We didn’t fulfill the conditions for that route. So why…?”
A few days before, they decided they needed Ryuuga’s Loong King Fang to defeat Zaraki, so they were laying an ambush outside of the city when he chased Koumaru. But no matter how much they waited, he never showed up.
They were confused, and then heard reports that Zaraki was defeated and Raiha saved… This only increased their confusion.
In the game, Ryuuga’s help would be needed to defeat Zaraki, but they did not gain the necessary favorability for this to happen.
That was why they bet on a small possibility, taking Ryuuga’s weapon and facing Zaraki with it… but for some reason, he did not chase Koumaru, and instead fought Zaraki to save Raiha.
That was weird. They, the main characters, did not get involved at all. And thanks to what Egos did, there was a good chance Ryuuga lumped all hero prospects together and disliked them.
So why did Ryuuga go to Zaraki, was what they talked about… They reached a conclusion.
“I guess that’s it… I didn’t want to believe it, but…”
“Yes… It looks like that scum Yuugo counts as a main character.”
When the story progressed in a way they did not want, Yuugo was always there.
It started when they could not take the popular heroine Melt, and Yuugo was there for this event from start to finish.
They did not know the exact reason, but surely it had to do with Zenon beating him in the prologue.
Because of that, he made friends, disrupted the scenario, and got in their way.
That could not be allowed. Taking Marcos and Ryuuga was one thing, but Shian and the others detested that he took popular characters like Melt, Angel, Setsuna, Sakura, and Raiha into his party.
Seeing girls with whom they went through countless events together, and grew close to in the game with that scum… It was shocking to the reincarnated students, and an announcement rang in their heads to kick them while they were down.
‘Ryuuga Renjou, Yui Renjou, Setsuna Kogarashi, Sakura Amamiya, Raiha Utsusemi… Have all had their scenario routes eliminated.’
‘They cannot be added as companions.’
“Kuh…! Dammit!!”
Shian howled while hitting the table with his fist.
The others wanted these popular characters to varying degrees and seemed irritated that their flags were gone, and a negative aura hung over the classroom.
“Again…! That scum screwed us again!!”
“And there’s Marcos, Mizari, and Hercus too!”
“At this rate, Yuugo’s going to ruin our life here!!”
The exhilarating feeling of easily taking down an enemy from the game, the jealous eyes of people watching, the harems they were supposed to make with characters they liked, the renown as heroes… Yuugo kept destroying it all.
At that rate, he would take everything from them, and as they saw a future where they were seen as heroes crumble, their faces twisted with anger and fear.
“We need to eliminate that scum…! Before he gets any stronger…!”
“But how? He’s getting weirdly strong. We’re not gonna win head on.”
“And people have been looking at us more harshly because of what that idiot Egos did. If we mess up…!!”
Egos, who had gotten a game over, did several criminal acts, but the others also felt it hurt their main character charisma.
Shian in particular felt that his party members Velda and Peewee were more cold to him than before, and he was flustered because he could feel the shine of his charisma becoming cloudy.
“He’s going to take everything that should be ours! We can’t let him!”
“But what should we do!? How do we destroy him!?”
“…Let’s declare a truce. Work together, and prioritize eliminating him!”
They could not let Yuugo run wild any longer. They had to beat him down no matter what if they were to achieve the future they wanted.
They discussed how to accomplish this, but they could not face directly an opponent that would overpower them in raw power. Not to mention that if they were discovered using underhanded means, they could lose everything like Egos, so they did not have a good plan.
They decided to cooperate, but part of why they could not find a plan was surely because they did not trust the others in their position from the bottom of their hearts.
Also, although they were unaware, the story had advanced that far in part because Yuugo solved several incidents with his friends. If he was alone, there was a good chance he would have gotten a game over.
“We can’t let him…! We’ll show you, Yuugo…!”
Shian’s hatred seethed, but there was nothing he could actually do.
They reached the conclusion that they should get in Yuugo’s way as much as possible, and the meeting ended with pretty much nothing being accomplished.
