“Dammit…! Why are they all having fun like that…!!”
The person watching Neries’ training was Shian, whose team broke off from him just a few days before.
He watched the party that abandoned him enjoying themselves, and whispered with frustration in his eyes and deep resentment in his voice.
“What kind of joke is this…!! They’re all friendly with that scum of all people…!!”
He looked after them and gave them an easy life, but they ignored his kindness and left the party. That alone gave Shian an anger that was hard to let go.
If this was already unforgivable, getting involved with Yuugo, who had gotten in his way many times, and having fun with him was something beyond betrayal that irritated him.
(After expelling the hero from their party, they’re supposed to realize their foolishness and regret it! What are they doing training to fight without me!?)
He remembered the revenge stories in the isekai he enjoyed in his previous life.
In those stories, the main character made great efforts and was vital to the party unbeknownst to the rest of the party members, and after expelling him, said party members understood they took his power lightly, and regretted their actions.
He was currently in the position of one of those characters.
That party could show off that power because someone led them making full use of his knowledge of Luminous History… And Shian believed they would realize that, and come pleading for him to come back.
By that point, Shian would have an even stronger party, and like the main characters of those stories, he would tell them it was too late… The current situation was nothing like what he imagined.
It was a party that was nothing without him, but he saw them training to fight even without him, which filled him with a miserable feeling like they were saying he truly was not needed.
He looked down on them for being game characters, but he was on the verge of realizing he was positioned below them at that point, and he shook his head to continue ignoring reality.
“Screw this. Like you could ever be above me…!”
Not just Neries, Yuugo too.
That scum was a villain that was supposed to lose to the main character in the beginning and keep falling from there. Why was he having fun surrounded by heroines?
The party that expelled him should be stepping stones for the main character.
They were just game characters, but ignored the main character and had fun, which simply should not happen… Shian glared at them, and whispered with anger and hatred.
“I won’t forgive this. I’ll make you all unhappy…!”
He could not simply allow Neries to recover like that. And Yuugo should get back on track and fall after being abandoned by everyone.
He would not accept any route other than one he was happy with, not one where only him, the main character, was unhappy. Never.
He seethed with anger, hatred, and jealousy, looking at Neries and Yuugo surrounded by friends.
He would make them learn, make them understand the gravity of the sin of slighting him. With his boorish main character pride in his heart, Shian started taking action.
