“Good job Neries. Do you feel like today’s training had an effect?”
“Ah, hum… I still can’t say for sure, right…? I just started…”
“That’s true. But you should become stronger if you stick with it. Let’s do our best together.”
Mizari casually brought up that day’s training, and Neries was thankful from the bottom of her heart.
There was the fact that they were the same size, but this even voice that she had been hearing since the previous night was calming somehow, she thought as Mizari continued.
“It’s hard to try something different. I understand it because I also experienced it.”
“You said you also changed your fighting style, right?”

Neries thought back, and realized she had learned quite a bit from her time with Shian.
Multiple support magic, communication with others, she ought to have gained that sort of thing.
Since she followed Shian’s instructions, she never thought about how to apply these things, and she reached the conclusion that this was her biggest problem, as she leaned back in the bath and whispered.
“It’s true… What I learned, what I reflected on, it should all be helpful.”
“It’s nice that you regained your optimism enough to understand that. Yes, I agree.”
Mizari smiled, and Neries’ face turned a little red.
There was Peewee too, but she thought she really was blessed with friends, and Mizari asked a question.
“By the way… Who are you going to team up with for the exam?”
“Ah… I didn’t think about it at all… Who should I ask…?”
Neries was supposed to name someone to team up with her for the exam.
She trained a lot that day, but did not come up with any prospects to team up with her for this test that could change the direction of her life, let alone make a final decision.
And as she thought about who was involved in the training that would be her best choice to ask… Mizari spoke.
“Then you should ask Master Yuugo. He is the strongest among us.”
“Yuugo… That’s true…”
That day, she felt all too well how strong he was when he played the part of their enemy.
He had an armor with various characteristics that he could use well, and could deal with any situation, as well as being reliable. With him, she could face anything.
Adding her support magic meant there was nothing to be afraid of… She thought, but was somewhat reluctant.
Yuugo was strong, too strong. Was there really anything she could contribute?
Would going from Shian to Yuugo just mean changing the person she relied on… She thought, and Mizari gave her advice.
“I understand how you feel. I think it would be best to talk to him and your friends. They will help you for sure.”
“…Yes. It’s better than worrying on my own.”
She was not alone. Unlike when she was locked up in her room, she had plenty of friends around her.
Thinking about talking to the others about her uncertainty and hesitation made her feel more positive, and she offered Mizari a suggestion.
“Mizari, do you want to form a party with me if I pass my exams? If it doesn’t bother you…”
“It wouldn’t bother me at all. I think it would be pretty good to combine our parties.”
“You already have a party, don’t you? Is it okay?”
“Yes. It’s only two people… We are both front liners, so I wanted someone to support us from the back.”
“Then that’s great! We have too many on the back, so adding two front liners would make us feel safer!”
They had a lot of fun talking.
They set up plans for after Neries passed the exams… And as they thought about that and faced the ceiling, Neries spoke.
“I’ll do my best. I want to fulfill my promise…”
“Yes. And I will do what I can to help.”
Mizari’s voice was flat, but full of feeling, bringing a smile to Neries’ face.
She realized she was more optimistic than the previous day, and felt enjoyment as she realized her heart was beating as hard as Angel and the others’.
