I’m unemployed but I’m exploring the dungeon again today – Chapter 155 – The Abyss XXVI (Illusion forest XIII) – Part one

Lately Nanashi has been acting weird, and creepy.

“What do you think of those moves just now, John Doe?”

“Hey John Doe, what kind of monster is that?”

“Your food is tasty, John Doe.”

“I’ll cook next time, John Doe.”

“Are you going to take a bath, John Doe? I’ll clean your back.”

“What kind of things do you like, John Doe?”

“John Doe.”

“John Doe.”

“John Doe.”

The distance has shortened in a weird way, and he keeps entering my personal space.

Even if I tell him to get away from me, he tells me not to worry about it and won’t listen.

What’s with him?

I feel like he’s been weird ever since I took down the three-eye.

I told him to wait in the mansion because it was dangerous, but he came out on Fuuma’s back all carefree like it was a field trip.

I noticed that when the three-eye was about to unleash an area of effect attack. I could take it, but putting Fuuma aside, Hinata and Nanashi definitely couldn’t.

Totaro would defend them if they were with it, but I didn’t know if Fuuma could do it.

Fuuma seemed aware of this, because it looked pretty flustered.

I had no choice but to send out an Amadachi.

I vowed to get over it and sent out an attack to finish it, and bisected the three-eye.

Then I lectured the three of them, but Nanashi’s eyes were shining for some reason.

“Fuh! Ah! Fuh! Aah!”

Nanashi copies my moves after asking me to train.

I didn’t think much of it at first, but I can’t not think about it.

If seeing my moves will improve his, I’ll show him as many times as he wants, but the problem is that I have no guarantee. I just use Trace on someone else and match my moves, so I can’t give an accurate answer when he asks me if his technique is good.

I told him that, but…

“I see, then I’ll do it too.”

I don’t know what he’s doing, but I guess he’s doing it.

I don’t know if it’s talent, but his moves keep getting crisper, his blade sharper, and his skill is striking.

And this inspires someone.

“Kyukyu!”

Hinata is here too all of a sudden, also swinging a sword.

My sword has a two meter blade, Nanashi uses a normal two-handed sword, and Hinata a short sword.

We all do the same moves but in different ways. There’s no reason to do the same moves, but we do anyway.

I have no idea if that’s correct.

I haven’t trained martial arts that much, and I’m not that well-versed with the sword either. All I can teach is how to take down monsters and survive.

Still, if they get stronger like this, I welcome it.

If they can at least get strong enough to survive while I take down monsters, we can look for ways to return to the surface.

We can’t stay here forever. The idea was to stay until Hinata was big enough, but Nanashi hastened the plans.

My hope was that Hinata’s parents would come, but as time went on without any sign of them, those hopes faded.

I think I’m leaving soon.

Thanks for everything.

“Guah.”

I pet Totaro’s head, thanking it for taking care of us.

There’s still time, and I need to figure out how to escape the forest, but I intend to leave soon.

Totaro looks lonely, but looks at me with gentle eyes like it’s praying for our safety.
