Title

(One who broke the limit)

I check my stats, and see Walking’s level is now a hundred and one.

When I fought Gonza, it showed a message.

(Conditions met. Release upper limit?)

The fanfare that played in my head when I killed Ricardo was probably signaling this, but what conditions were those?

Killing people… I don’t think so, because I killed that assassin in the holy city. Or maybe it had to do with killing multiple people?

I think about it that far, when I realize it doesn’t matter. The conditions have already been met anyway.

What I really should be doing, is checking if there are any new skills I can use.

It was the case with MP Consumption Reduction too, but it seems the new skills listed are treated as high rank skills, and I need at least three skill points to learn them.

But I also feel like they have effects to match.

Of course, there are useful skills among the ones that were here already, so I’m honestly at a loss. If I can go over level ninety-nine, that means I can get more skill points.

I want to keep some points, because I might need them in a pinch like before, but I’ve ended up with quite a lot accumulated.

And I need to consider what will happen when I stop traveling too.

Still, I want to learn more skills, so I pick two,

NEW

(Life Granting Lv1) / (Replication Lv1)

Life Granting’s effect is to give life to any object. After reading the description, I decided I want it for when I explore dungeons.

I think I can use it to give life to dolls and create golems. There are limitations, like how long they can stay active, but it looks like they’ll be useful for things like keeping watch, or serving as shields. And apparently I can do more things with the skill as it levels up.

It should be useful for when we camp on the road too.

The other skill is also one that should be useful in the future, Replication.

This one can replicate an item, but it’s not perfect either.

For example, I can’t just duplicate something like my mithril sword and own two of them. There’s a time limit, and once it’s reached, the duplicated item disappears.

And I need to have at least touched the materials I want to replicate.

Also, it looks like I can replicate things that I don’t have anymore, as long as I’ve used the Replication skill on them before. So for example, I can replicate a mithril sword even if it breaks.

It should be useful if I find myself urgently needing a weapon, but I need to check how long its effects lasts.

I checked a lot of other stuff, and found pretty useful things. The problem is that they all look like they’d put a strain on my MP.

“Our goals for now are to cross over to Altair, get the laurel tree fruit, and check the slaver there.”

We have time, but I want us to have plenty of leeway when we cross the mountain again on the way back to Majolica.

And who knows if we can get the laurel tree fruit without any issues. We might have another unreasonable demand pushed on us again.

I let out a big sigh, and fall on the bed.

That’s enough thinking. I want to talk about this with the others too.

I look at the inn’s ceiling, and raise my hand.

“Strange…”

I felt reservations about killing people before I left for that bandit hunt, and just thinking about it made my heart beat faster. My hands trembled too.

But that’s gone now. I don’t feel anything even when I remember the feeling of slashing through someone’s flesh.

Is this because I killed multiple people? Or…

I don’t have any regrets, but I’m afraid of my heart turning into something different.

Figured he broke the level cap limit or unlocked a special class back there m. Question is what caused it. My guess it’s taking out people under this demonic berserker influence. Really like that 1st skill that could be pretty useful not sure about the other. So 39 skill points left he didn’t use a lot. I would like to have seen what other new skills were available at least the temping ones
