Walking in another world – Chapter 405 – Migration plans – Part three

“You can do that?”

Asks Naoto, kind of taken aback as he watches me build the house.

“Sora, you learned a skill to build houses? You use stuff like magic during battle too, but how do you learn that sort of thing?”

That question makes sense. When we first came to this world and were appraised, it showed that my only skill was Walking.

If anything, I’m surprised that it took this long for him to question this. But I should probably not explain too much about the Walking skill.

“There’s a lot that goes into learning skills. By the way, this is something I put together with Earth Magic. Although you also need a skill to be able to control magic energy.”

I tell him I learned the Magic Energy Control Skill from a scroll I bought while traveling.

It seems Naoto and the others can learn skills too, but not many. But still, Argo and the others are surprised by the amount of skills they have, and how otherworlders have a lot of skills to begin with. Of course, they also don’t go into detail about what skills they have.

“Anyway, is this a good size for the rooms?”

We have a lot of people here this time, so I’m trying to make individual rooms. Privacy is important. Although an adventurer party like Argo’s probably doesn’t care.

“No no, that’s not right!”

Says Guilford. I figured they even shared rooms in inns, because they’ve been together for so long.

Ah, I completely forgot, because I didn’t get to see them work all that much, but they’re A ranked adventurers. That means they probably have some financial power.

And Naoto and the others also had their own rooms in the castle.

“But even a kitchen and a bath? I feel like I could just live here.”

Naoto is surprised to see a bath, and Naoto looks happy.

“But who’s cooking?”

Asks Argo, and everyone looks around at each other.

Adventurers typically eat in inns or stalls, and apparently Naoto and Shun have never cooked in this world either.

Even when they were out hunting monsters or exploring dungeons, it was attendants of sorts who cooked for them. Or Kaede and Miharu.

Argo and the others complain about being jealous, and then turn that over to me because I’m traveling with Rurika and the others.

“I’m typically the one who cooks, actually. And we tend to eat at stalls a lot too, because Hikari likes to try the local food.”

Don’t call me a liar. You don’t believe me?

“Then how about I show you?”

It’s close to dinner time anyway, and it’s not like I mind.

But come to think of it, how are we going to eat? There are too many people to fit comfortably in the dining hall, so should we just eat here?

I take out ingredients from the Item Box and start making a stew.

People are surprised by how I seem to be used to doing this, but they all pipe down once they start smelling the aroma from the stew.

But this isn’t going to be enough. Should I grill some meat too? I got plenty of monster meat in Elesya.

I take out the metal plate, and start grilling. And instead of preparing the meat with seasonings before I start, I just use salt and pepper.

“Master, What are we…”

Just when it’s almost done, Hikari comes by.

She notices I’m cooking, and sits quietly. Wasn’t she about to say something?

“Hum, Hikari, weren’t you going to say something?”

“I was asking what you were going to eat.”

“I get it, but as you can see, we’re fine. Shouldn’t you be going back?”

She then starts looking back and forth between me and the food.

“I can make this again if that’s what you want. Go eat with everyone over there.”

She nods and goes back.

I can just store whatever is left of the stew in the Item Box, but the problem is that I don’t know how much Argo and the others eat. I made plenty, but it could not be enough.

Once it’s done, I serve everyone, but why isn’t anyone trying it?

Don’t signal with your eyes for me to try it first, just eat.

This silent battle is eventually over when someone tries it.

His expression is frozen with surprise, and once he starts moving again, he just eats silently.

Everyone else starts eating too, and once they’re done, they start serving themselves and reaching for the grilled meat.

“It would be perfect if we had drinks too…”

I hear someone whisper, but unfortunately, I don’t have any alcohol. No one in my party even drinks.

The moment I say I don’t have any, they look at me like it’s the end of the world, but what do you want me to do about it?

After we’re done eating, Argo and his party go rest, and Naoto and Shun go have a bath first.

Lastly, I make a door with magic, and after making it so Hikari and the others can easily open it, I go to sleep too.
