Fuuma’s sad voice echoed in the sky.
Fuuma was higher than the trees, with Hinata and Nanashi on its back.

Normally there would be a lot of monsters in the sky, but for some reason, they hid when the world turned monochrome.
Maybe they knew the monster that came was strong, and ran away.
“That’s an amazing sight.”

Nanashi and Hinata were carefree, as Fuuma worried.
The forest’s green seemed to go on forever, as did the blue sky.
They knew the contrast was taking their attention, but that was not the objective. Fuuma had to look for its master.
As they looked around for John Doe, there was a sudden loud sound, and dust rose from the ground.
The next moment, the dust was blown away.
At the same time, the monster with giant eyes in its head, right side of the chest, and stomach flew with a lot of wounds, and disappeared.
There was another loud sound, and an impact all around.
“Uooh?”
Fuuma covered itself with wind as Nanashi was losing his balance, preparing itself for more impact.
They got through the repeated shock waves, and moved.
They were too close to the battle.
“What’s happening!?”
Yelled Nanashi, who could not see anything.
Many trees went down, there was a big explosion the next moment, and an impact ran through.
They knew where the three-eyed monster was, but not what it was fighting.
Well, they knew, it just seemed impossible that a person was doing that.
They looked very closely at the ground.
Light ran between the trees, impossible to follow with their eyes.
They thought they lost sight of it, but loud noises echoed from a few places, and an extra large light ran through the forest in a straight line, destroying everything in its path.
“Kyu!!”
The golden-haired child with the wings could not sit still.
It was as though it knew what was causing it. And this child could only be happy about one person.
Another impact ran from a certain point, taking down trees.
In its center, they saw the three-eyed monster and John Doe.
But only for a moment, as they disappeared, and another explosive impact happened.
“This is John Doe’s strength…”
He knew the friend he had in this world was strong. He saw him defeat strong monsters in the forest.
He saw him overwhelm monsters, and thought he wanted to be like that as well.
If he could become strong with John Doe and return to the surface, he could confront those people.
It was with that in mind that he trained under John Doe, and became stronger. Eventually, he would be on his level, and surpass him, he thought.
But he was conceited.
He saw him face off against what looked like a calamity, like the world was turning upside down.
The forest changed, the scenery got rewritten.
This power should not be used on the surface.
For the first time, he was afraid of John Doe, and strongly fascinated.
“Wow.”
Nanashi noticed he had an elated smile.
He said something without thinking, and realized he was happy.
Seekers always admired power. It was like an instinct that everyone who explored dungeons had.
Seek power, respect the strong. That was the seeker way.
No amount of rationality could overcome it.
And Nanashi wondered if he was not seeing its peak.
The peak of seekers.
The end point of power.
That was what he saw in John Doe.
The battle was heading towards its end.
It seemed like a back-and-forth, but the three-eyed monster’s wounds increased. Two of its eyes were crushed.
Suddenly, its moves got duller.
It was over.
As everyone thought that, it mustered up the last of its strength.
It disappeared from in front of Tanaka, moving high in the sky.
It could teleport where its eyes could see. That was why it had three eyes, and it could use its ability indefinitely because of the immense magic energy in its eyes
Two were gone. They would regenerate if given time, but it did not have the luxury.
It had little magic energy left.
It infused it in its invisible left hand.
It knew it would be powerless if it used up the last of its magic energy. That would mean it would be attacked by other monsters and die.
Still, if it did not use it it would not defeat the monstrosity on the ground.
It prepared to crush the ground as far as it could see.
A weak being despaired in the corner of its eye, but it would also be crushed.
It called out something transparent with its hand, that spread through the sky and was big enough to crush everything on the ground.
It looked at everything, better than ever.
The thickly grown vegetation, the lake not far away, the weak monsters hiding in the trees, something in the lake, and three despairing faces.
Then it saw a light cut through everything.
He relaxed after swinging his longsword.
The three-eyed realized it.
The ground was safe, its power dispelled, and it was falling after being cut.
The world it saw was wrapped in darkness.
It wished to see more, as it closed its eye.
