“Ryuuga…!”
Raiha called out the name of the person that appeared before them… Ryuuga.
Suffice to say, he was the one Raiha was looking at, and her eyes were never on Shian and the others.
Ryuuga warned Shian and looked away from him, and a surprised Yuugo spoke.
“Why are you here, Ryuuga!? You’re supposed to be in the hospital.”
“There was a woman causing a ruckus about the fathers of the combat miko being here. I snuck out because I was curious.”
“Uu…!!”
Ramy stammered as Ryuuga glanced at her as he spoke.
Uno sighed upon hearing that she was not just being thoughtless and reckless there, but elsewhere as well, and Ryuuga turned to the combat miko and their fathers.
“…So you’re the heads of the three big houses? And you over there…”
“Renjou, watch your tone!!”
“It’s fine, Mister Castle. Please don’t admonish him.”
Uno tried to complain to Ryuuga, as he looked at the heads of the three houses in turn and spoke in an arrogant way, but Ujiyasu stopped him.
He was taking the brunt of Ryuuga’s sharp glare, and responded with a look that held complex emotions not easily explained.
The air was clearly tense, and Shian, while still between Ryuuga and Ujiyasu, began to wonder if this situation was the chance he was looking for.
(Ryuuga is hurt, and he was rude to the fathers of the combat miko… I have a good reason to teach him a lesson!)
He could not beat Ryuuga head on, but he should be in the hospital healing his wounds.
And he had a just cause, since he appeared to be a threat to the VIP guests.
Could he not… push him down here?
If he subdued the one trying to harm her father, Raiha really would be indebted to him. And that might raise her flag again.
The Utsusemi family would thank him, and they might give him lightning loong materials. And that might escalate into wanting him to be Raiha’s husband.
He could do it. He could grasp this chance to turn things around.
Shian gulped, and was about to jump Ryuuga…
“Ryuuga! Stop this strange gubooh!?”
He boosted his physical abilities with magic energy and was about to take Ryuuga down at close range, but groaned when he was suddenly struck in his solar plexus.
Shian collapsed, as Ryuuga did not draw or swing his sword, and instead punched him in the stomach and walked past him.
“…I don’t think we need to listen to them.”
“Yes, I agree.”
Whispered Tadakatsu and Motonari as they saw the complete rejection of Shian by Ryuuga.
Ryuuga had not only just left the hospital, but he was actually still injured. And upon seeing Shian not even stand a chance against him, they got a good idea of the power level they could expect from him and the others.
“W-w-w-what are you doing!? Are you trying to sully my good name agaiiiiiin…?”
“…Miss Nira, you should really stop. You need to rest.”
Ramy yelled hysterically as she saw the hero prospects she recommended looking so disgraceful, and her eyes suddenly went glassy.
She fell to the floor, and Uno cast sleeping magic as he whispered.
“You had to see something very unsightly. How could I apologize for this improper…”
“Don’t worry about it. You have it tough, Mister Castle. More importantly, can you take Miss Nira and this boy to the medical office?”
“Ah…! Can you stand, Feir? We’re going to the medical office.”
“U-uu…”
Uno carried Ramy on his back and called out to Shian, and took them to the medical office.
The other reincarnated students dispersed, feeling out of place, and Ryuuga spoke to Ujiyasu.
“…I want to talk to you. Somewhere we won’t be disturbed.”
“…Yes, I understand.”
“Hey, wait! We can’t allow that!”
Tadakatsu tried to stop it.
Even if he saved his daughter, he knew it was clearly dangerous to leave Ryuuga with Ujiyasu alone when he clearly resented him. Motonari then followed him.
“I mean no disrespect to Ryuuga, but we cannot send a friend to such danger. Ujiyasu, please reconsider.”
“But I have a duty…”
“Be quiet for a second, Ujiyasu. I understand how you feel, but I do not agree with those feelings to begin with.”
“…I see. If you say so, it can’t be helped.”
Ryuuga spoke silently after seeing Tadakatsu and Motonari get in the way of him talking to Ujiyasu.
Both saw him slowly reach for his Loong King Fang, and heightened their caution as they drew their weapons and prepared to fight, but…?
“Yuugo, take this.”
“…Ou, okay.”
Ryuuga did not draw his blade, and instead handed it to his partner.
Yuugo was already walking towards him, as he knew what he was doing, and took his partner’s dear sword that he valued more than his life with a strong nod.
“…I have no intention of harming your friend. I just want to talk.”
““…!?””
What Ryuuga did and said left Tadakatsu and Motonari looking surprised.
As they froze, Ujiyasu walked between them and spoke after a quiet nod.
“I also think we need to talk. I apologize for making you come here, and for my friends’ rudeness.”
“Don’t worry about it. I would’ve done the same for my friends.”
Ryuuga treated Ujiyasu in a way that combined his normal mild attitude and his real cold attitude.
As everyone thought he must be struggling with how to deal with Ujiyasu, Raiha stepped forward and yelled.
“Hum! Can I join you?”
“…I told you, don’t ask me…”
Ryuuga was about to reject Raiha, but stopped upon seeing her serious expression and eyes.
He silently turned away and responded after a short exhale.
“…Do what you want.”
“…Thank you.”
Raiha said with a bow.
He looked at the girl and the middle-aged man who threw his life into disarray, and went to the reception room with both.
