Walking in another world – Chapter 758 – Avid dungeon – Part twenty-seven

Transfer worked.

I saw Controlled’s effect wearing off, approached a tartaruga that was away from the others, and used Transfer on it.

At first I felt resistance and it failed, but it worked after I infused a lot of magic energy. Or rather, it worked because I kept infusing it until it worked.

Checking my stats, I see it took more than half my MP. Taking another one… Actually, three nearby tartarugas just noticed me, and are heading this way.

I stop myself from drinking a mana potion, and try something instead.

Transfer spends more magic energy the further away from me something is, then what if I transferred it, and myself, from up close?

I use Transfer to move above a tartaruga, and land on its back. And with that, I put my hand on it, and Transfer us both.

My target is ten meters away from Argo.

Tartarugas are big, so it takes more MP than usual to move them, but I spent way less than the first time.

With a loud sound, the tartaruga lands, and I use Transfer again to get away from it.

What would happen if I used Transfer to drop it from a bigger height? I should try it next time.

I land on the ground, and drink a mana potion.

This is a high quality one, but doesn’t fully recover my MP. Still, I recovered to eighty percent, so I need to leave the rest to Natural Recovery Boost.

I follow Argo’s instructions, and we surround a tartaruga to attack it.

It has a hard shell, but hard skin too, although it’s easier to damage than the shell.

Once we deal a certain amount of damage, its face, limbs, and tail will hide inside the shell to recover.

It doesn’t move at all in this state. Or I guess it can’t. That’s when Argo and the others will flip it, and attack its stomach.

It’s a simple strategy, but the issue is dealing enough damage in the first stage. Its skin is damaged, but it’s still hard. Even with a magic energy infused mithril sword, the damage is minute.

I can tell when I slash it that each attack deals very little damage. Not to mention that the tartaruga attacks too. And they’re attacks we can’t take head on.

Argo and the others are dealing with its front leg attacks, while we go around the back and swing our swords.

Being attacked from all sides is too much for a tartaruga to bear.

Twenty minutes later, it withdraws its head and limbs, and closes itself in its shell.

“Now it’s a race against time! Sora, help.”

Says Argo, and I go around to the side.

Rick is there, getting ready to lift the shell.

Now it’s just about being strong enough to flip it, but my first attempt tells me it’s impossible.

I grab the edge, and it doesn’t move. Can it really be done?

He said it’s a race against time, so it might not stay hidden in the shell for long.

I’m told it lasts less than ten minutes, but its recovery time can’t be timed. But I decide to try something, considering how my MP is recovering.

“Argo, I want to try something. Can you get away from it?”

He frowns, but Rick moves away and Argo follows.

With that, I get on the shell.

I thought about using Earth Magic to push it up, but the ground here isn’t good for that. Then I thought about using Transfer, but it’s a little different this time.

First, I’m using Transfer to the sky, but I have to do it so it flips. Yes, this time, I’ll have to adjust it so it lands upside down.

That comes with a risk of it falling on me when it comes down. Also, if I take it too high, the impact from falling might flip it over again, which will be a failure.

But if it fails, I just have to try again. I can use Transfer four or five times with this MP.

I take a deep breath, exhale, and use Transfer.

I’m upside down, looking up at the ground, and my body obeys gravity as it falls.

I can see the big shell if I look near my feet.

I use Transfer again before I crash into the ground, and I land just as the shell hits the ground.

The vibrations are felt on the ground, and the shell shakes a lot, but the shell is on the ground, and the tartaruga is belly up.

“Now.”

Argo is the first to jump on it. Then Rick, and they strike the weak point I saw with See Through. It falls in no time at all.

“Well, experience is a blessing.”

I’m surprised, but Argo acts like it’s nothing.

We’ve only fought these a few times, so it really takes A rank adventurers to hit its weak point so precisely.

“And the other…”

Argo is interrupted by a thunderous roar.

I use Farsight, and see the other tartaruga has been flipped over.
