I’m lost.
I was supposed to stay here for two days and one night, but I might not even be able to go back.
The culprit was Fuuma and its tornado that sent us flying into the air and dropped us somewhere on the thirty-second floor.
When we were thrown into the air, I tried my hardest to slow down our fall with Wind Magic, and softened the impact with intense wind at the exact moment of impact.
It’s my second fall, so I know how to save myself.
We fell close to ruins, but ones with tall grass around them. You wouldn’t know from afar that there are buildings here.
I decide to rest, and hold the fallen Fuuma under my arm as we enter, but unlike outside of it, there is no grass growing here.
The grass is as tall as me, like it was put here to purposefully hide the village.
I walk around the village, and find dinnerware as well as tattered clothing. There’s a well and what looks like cultivated land, signs that people lived here.
And in the center of this village, there is a bronze statue of a man holding a spear, as well as a bronze pedestal with writing. It looks similar to Arabic script, and I can’t read it.
I feel like the statue reminds me of someone.
I try to remember who, and Fuuma wakes up and starts moving.
Fuuma is heavier than it looks. It’s less than a meter tall, but clearly heavier than a hundred kilos. Maybe it’s because it’s wide, but still, it’s heavy. I thought it might be muscular, the way it jiggles tells me it’s clearly fat.
I put it down while thinking it’s unfortunate to be a fat summoned beast.
Fuuma snorts, shakes its head, and stretches.
It’s like it’s telling me to go, so I follow it.
I start walking around the village again, but nothing catches my eye other than the bronze statue.
I’m about to leave, thinking there’s nothing else to see, but I see words carved on a tree by the entrance.
They’re low, like a kid wrote them, and look sloppy too.
After that, I leave the village and look for a path, but the grass is in the way. I cut it with wind blades to clear the way, but it’s pretty slow, and the sun starts to go down.
I turn around, thinking I should go back to the village and camp there, and the tall grass is gone. In its place is a forest.
I feel like I’m being tricked by a fox, so I grab Fuuma and use Wind Magic to propel myself and escape the grass field.
This leaves me even more lost, and wandering the dungeon even more.

My next landing spot is a river, and since I’m wearing armor, I almost drown.
It’s pretty deep, and all I can do is struggle without managing to get my face above water. This is bad, so I head towards the bottom, use Earth Magic, and control the earth to send me up.
Cough cough!!
I take off my helmet and stay on all fours as I spit out the water I swallowed.
I almost died.
I flew away randomly like Bazoom, thinking I’d end up somewhere with a path. I didn’t expect to be sent straight to a river.
Still, I checked where the path is when I was up there, so I should be okay.
And after Fuuma fell in the river, it abandoned me and climbed on shore.
I glare at this summoned beast that abandoned its master, and it glares back while drying itself with wind, like it’s saying it’s my fault.
Suddenly the air gets tense, and I immediately run forward with greatsword in hand.
Fuuma opens its eyes wide with surprise, and then closes them and trembles as I approach.
You’re misunderstanding, but don’t move.
I pass by Fuuma, and bisect a mirage great snake I can’t see.
I pick up another one with Spatial Grasp, and also take it down.
I don’t know when our eyes met, but apparently I’m under their influence. It might have been when I got out of the river and looked at the grass.
I rely on Spatial Grasp and not my sight, and eliminate all the enemies in no time.
But the illusion isn’t gone, and by the time I can see them, I see over ten bisected snakes.
This river might be their habitat.
I should get away from here just to be safe, I think as I look at Fuuma, who stomps on the severed head of one of the snakes, and looks smug like it’s thinking they were nothing.
You didn’t even notice them.
It clearly didn’t know they were there, and stayed still looking like an idiot with snot on its nose until I took them all down.
And now you’re looking all smug? That’s really shameless. Who do you take after?

It’s starting to get dark around here, so I set up camp a little far from the river. I wanted to leave, but I might get the paths wrong in the dark and get even more lost.
This is where mappingool should shine, but it stopped mapping when I was thrown up and fell down.
But since it’s always recording, it also shows me being thrown in the air. I check the footage, and see a line that looks like a path.
Okay, I’ll go that way, and leave a big rock as a landmark.
The pot is boiling, so I open it and stir.
Yes, this soup with plenty of ingredients looks good as I put it on a plate. I heat up bread, and my dinner is done.
I put my hands together before eating, but for some reason, Fuuma is looking at my dinner. Close too.
Stop! You’re breathing heavily!
And into the soup too!
What’s with those eyes? Looking like you want it.
You’re not getting it. Food for people is like poison for animals.
There’s grass all around. Go eat it.
Wai, you…!?
Don’t stick your face in the plate!!
Fuuma starts eating my soup filled with ingredients, and it empties the plate before I can take it away.
I say plate, but it’s a porcelain bowl, that Fuuma consumed in an instant.
And now it’s looking at the pot.
Stop! There won’t be any left for me!
I only made that this time!
Do summoned beasts even get hungry!? You’re a horse, go eat grass!
I grab Fuuma to stop it, but it starts struggling to break free.
It’s small, but it’s still a horse, so it’s strong and pushes my arms back.
What’s with your joints? Their range of movement is clearly too much!
It bends its legs like they’re human arms, like it has human elbow joints.
Is this a person shaped like a horse? A cryptid? A strange creature? An UMA?
As I think about Fuuma’s real form, I feel magic energy coming out.
It’s Fuuma. It’s trying to use magic to eat.
That’s dangerous! I throw it far, but it skillfully uses wind to fly back.
What’s this thing? It’s better at using Wind Magic than me!
Is its obsession with food boosting its growth in ability to control magic?
It flies around freely, accelerating in three dimensions. It approaches me surprisingly fast, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be easy to catch it.
But I know its target.
I turn around and run towards the pot.
Fuuma notices this and accelerates further, and Spatial Grasp tells me where this pig-like horse is.
It’s really fast, but I’m faster.
I touch the pot, and send it into my Storage Space. Fuuma passes by me, lands, and looks around for the pot.
Once it realizes it’s nowhere to be found, it looks really sad and starts crying with a mhe~ sound.
Aren’t you a horse!?
It cries like a sheep.
I’m surprised by its versatility, but nevermind that. The sound is attracting monsters.
There’s a lot of them, and it’d be a pain to take them down.
I put the camping gear back inside the Storage Space, grab Fuuma, and run.
