Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 333 – Battle against Gadogada

I keep watching, but Gadogada doesn’t move either. Gadaga was like this too, so are goblins courteous when their intelligence is higher?

Anyway, I look around me and check my situation to focus.

The barrier is as big as last time, covering the whole settlement. There are houses made of wood, fur, and straw, and things one would need to live. But like the trees in the dungeon, those are just things that are there. If they’re destroyed, they appear again. They’re like scenery.

I can see walls being broken and us hiding in the houses, and things being thrown, but there’s no sign that any of these things are used outside of combat.

It’s like everything here, including the monsters, was forced in here by the dungeon system, just to preserve the scenery.

“…!”

“……!”

Whoa, I’m getting distracted.

I look towards where I heard a voice, and see a very flustered Kasumi and everyone else calmly cheering me on.

I tell her with my eyes that it’s okay, Enki and the others give me a thumbs up like always, and the girls nod. I’m leaving Kasumi to them.

“Well then…”

“Ready?”

It asks like Gadaga, but like the first time, it feels like it’s being considerate.

It doesn’t sound mechanical, I feel like there’s life in it.

“I want to check something first. Right now, are you self-aware?”

“What would you do, if you knew?”

“…Nothing. I just want to know how you came to be.”

“Ahh… I see.”

There’s silence, but then I get a blunt answer.

“…If you want to know, beat me!”

“No, if I do, I won’t get the answer.”

Does that mean it doesn’t want to answer?

…Fine. I figured it would be like that, so it’s no shock. And even if I don’t get the answer here, I might learn if I raise my administrator level. I feel like learning that one wasn’t the only intelligent one is good enough.

“Here I go, human!”

“Come!”

“Gegya!”

“Gegyagya!!”

My enemies are Gadogada, plus thirty something others.

Their formation is composed of archers in the back and thieves doing hit-and-runs. Gadogada is taking the kurash and spear goblins in front, and the generals are commanding them.

And I’m alone. My team is outside the barrier, and I’ve received a debuff. I think I should start by taking out the regular goblins.

I take the Kaiser Vein from the inter-dimensional waist bag I borrowed from Aira, and throw it in the air.

“Hand of Sorcery!”

Two black arms appear, and catch the kaiser vein above me.

They pull the string, and load magic arrows. Then the goblins around Gadogada start getting pierced.

Bam bam bam bam bam!!

“Geh!?”

“Gegyagya!?”

“…Strange technique.”

“Orah!”

They’re losing tanks, so I slip in a gap and charge.

Clang!

But my attack from a blind spot is blocked by a shield.

It might be Intuition it has from fighting experience. It’s like it suddenly noticed something and moved its shield involuntarily.

“Gunuh!?”

“Are you sure you should be looking away? I’m your opponent!”

I didn’t deal damage, but managed to make it flustered. It’s clear it doesn’t feel confident anymore.

And as Gadogada and I fight, goblins under its control keep going down to Hand of Sorcery.

“Go up! Target him!!”

“They’re not gonna hit!”

I’m attacked from the left and right by short swords, fists, and spears, but I dodge them all just as they’re about to hit, and use the other goblins as shields against the arrows coming from a high angle.

With Foresight being II, if I fought an opponent before, I can even predict the trajectory of arrows. But with Foresight III, I didn’t feel any difference until now. I figured it was because I was fighting monsters that didn’t warrant it being used, but now I finally understand its abilities.

First, if I fought an opponent before, I can read its movements to a certain extent, but it won’t work against new opponents. Then can it read the moves of opponents I know whose stats have been boosted by Command or Duel? No.

Buffed or debuffed monsters move with the same patterns as normally, but the moves themselves are completely different, so Foresight can’t predict them. That’s why when I first fought debuffed goblins, I had to focus on their weakened stats, and it caused a bit of trouble.

But with Foresight III, I can make up for that annoying point. It took me a bit to get used to their moves when I first came to the fifth floor, but even though Gadaga’s minions are boosted by thirty or seventy percent, rather than debuffed by twenty, I could match their moves immediately.

Seeing the flow of their attacks is the same as seeing the flow of their moves. So even as I’m fighting Gadaga, it’s easy to exterminate the goblins even without Hand of Sorcery.

“Gufuh!”

Thirty minutes later, Gadogada finally falls to one knee.
